right, I'm now missing 2 coins, and have searched all the sofas!

If you search high enough, and have a bit of luck, you may find one coin.
I am trying to rack my brains for a single hidden coin, but apart from sofas, none spring to my addled mind I am afraid - i really should write this stuff down.

Because you have to speak to the guard for them to 'appear' - Grandad added them in the release build of the game, maybe he thought the beta testers found all the coins too easily (after all, it's rare for me to find them all unaided {dizzy}:lookup: )

This is a brilliant game but i'm absolutely stuck, probably quite near the beginning? Can anyone help? I cannot find the pen to give to teacher to sign the library ticket, nor have i captured the rat, nor persuaded the boy to give me his tyre, not got talking to the woman in the pub. the balloon works, though i cannot pick up the bird and i have access to the tool shed.

Have you talked to Denzil after you talked to the boy? Have you gotten the "massive pile of sawdust" that the delivery truck driver said he needed?

You can get the bird by feeding it. But you won't need it until much later in the game.

I co not have the sawdust, I do not have the pool cue, one of a yolk folk wants a sandwich (but i can't get a filling - such as cheese), one is asleep and i need a tape and the third wants some cards. Any davice?

I did that shortly after I posted! Gave the cheese sandwich to one of the yolkfolk, the gameboy to the boy, the tyre to the cabdriver, used the tape recorder to open the door to one of the magicians, gave a lightning rod to the cabbie and now stuck on making it rain. also would love to know how to get the library ticket signed

I think the only thing you can do at this point is give Pam the Mystic the item she wants.

She wants 'something with a tip' that involves games. it is not the matches. it may be the thing that the guy in sport's shop is poking the ceiling with a tip, but he won't speak to me alas
