right Meph well stuck now, had a look online but to much reading to do to get the bits you want! think i'm about the same place as grandad, but i haven't got the blue flame, presume its from the dragon but nothing i've got gets me it! and now locked out of the tower by the genie and big goblin, got 7 scrolls and 7 coins - absolutely loved the prison {yolkfolk}:rofl:

Theres an item just sitting around you might be able to use on the Dragons flame, something that you can light.
Im really stuck i done about three or 4 puzzels I given the herb to dora and given the the bag of food to the troll and given the letter to the queen, but now I got loads of items I dont know what to do with pickaxe,match head, broken scissors, singing bone, some straw, bloodstained key, empty jar, red cap, can of oil, bottle of wine, feather. I like how you have done this game and the way it has been thought out and the little things like the wolf and and the witches cackle sound effects very well done.

I think you are more or less in the same position as me. Did you get the other item from Dora's hut? You can use it with the straw - in the castle - to get a gold basket. And the pickaxe can be used on the millstone - which is needed for the bird.
Yeah I got the thimble and string woven the basket gone to the underworld to and give the pick me up to the grimm reaper now i wondering about trying to figure somthing out.

Items i have are pickaxe; straw; thimble; cloth; dagger - all used once and bag of stones; singing bone - which if i have my tales straight i know what to do with i just cant yet and bloodstained key (all i can think of is Bluebeard, which doesnt seem to be relevant here); feather; empty jar; broken scissors - not a clue yet :confused:
Still need to place the letters i k n (can see where n is but cant get to it) and i only have 6 scrolls and 5 coins
As far as i can tell ive been everywhere except hell and the tower and possibly an area underneath the glass mount behind the grille? Ive been to the gold castle but cant seem to action anything at the fountain presumably this is what i need for the king initially
Still to figure out the gold apple tree (or was that just to lead to the clue the gnome gives you); the piles of dirt in the garden and at apple picking; getting into hell for the devils hair; what needs doing at the juniper and forbidden fruit trees; the hut that smells funny (noticed when jumping there it seems as if you are still on a trampoline as you can get quite high, doesnt seem to have any use though); the black cat; the lake edge maybe; the cup or whatever it is stuck in ground; something sharp enough for the hunter; what needs heated on the oven plate in gingerbread house; dylan (assuming he needs tears as in the story, but where to get); not sure if im finished with the evil queen or not (she thinks shes got what she asked for); the grave at cinderella
Phew what a list!!! Any help on what or where i should be focusing on next?
EDIT As usual, post for help and figure it out yourself have managed to find another use for pickaxe.
I'll tell you the gold apple tree, straw and thimblee have no other use so put them aside.
You need to get into the tower and hell.. id start by getting into hell (you have the item) you should be able to help the huntsmen if you can remember how he opened the wolf, if you've helped the Bird he will clue you in on the juniper tree. (might make sense later on as will some of the other stuff)
And the Grimms told several versions of Bluebeard, the book i used had all 3 so i took things from them, in the Grimm version he was an evil sorcerer and gave out bloodstained eggs, while the key comes from the original tale) {yolkfolk}:eek:
I still cant find a use for the pickaxe and I gotten further since my last post where do you use it please and Im on my last life and in the red in health where do you use the pickaxe for the first time please.
Pickaxe can be used on on rocks or hard stones. hope that helps.
blimey i'm enjoying this so much i've played most of the day and got pretty far - i think! anyway the only items i haven't used are:
the moon, feather and slippers
think dylan needs the tears but can't get to him, blocked by troll & genie or going to prison - again, i have 10 scrolls and 8 coins can see a 9th coin but can't get it yet and as usual can't see the 10th one anywhere
loving the sounds meph, can hear a howiling at the bridge and wonder if it's anything to do with howiling at the moon!!!!

ah ha that was fun, sorted daisy and the dragon now but haven't got a clue what to do next need to solve dylan, trolls & genie, but only got 12 scrolls and 8 coins, still can't reach the coin by the letter and haven't seen a 10th anywhere yet, off to see what i can do with the moon and slippers
Seem to be on the home stretch now although still only 13 scrolls but all coins dealt with and all letters in position
Still haven't solved the juniper tree and i know the story but i no longer have any unused items.

no your lordship you get the slippers from the grave, use an item you've already used, there will be tears if you don't - any clues on how to get the coin by the letter and the final one would be much appreciated ta {yolkfolk}:yahoo:
If you mean the 1 above the queen in the castle tbh i dont know. I just happened to be back there and noticed the gates were open but i dont know what event triggered it. I think it might have been after i went cloud hopping with the moon but not sure.

Excellent game really enjoyed playing that and it was kinda nice to revisit some childhood memories. Great idea.

If you have used the bloodstained key already, then you should be able to use the feather in the same building.
