I'm having trouble remembering ..and I wrote the game. I have vague memories of putting Gobolino the cat on a ledge halfway down the side of a castle and you need to give her the opened can of tuna. I think the translation book is for the mushrooms.

Sorry, I can't get anywhere in this. I've opened the tin of tuna and found the translation book (which doesn't seem to work on the monkey) but there just doesn't seem to be anywhere to go.
From what i've noted that monkey wants what all monkey's want a..... banana and the translation bk is used on the guy at the monolith - hope it helps cause it's a neat game

The problem is that monolith maze. I presume there's something at the centre of it but I can't work out how you get to it.

You have to go pick up the hat that blew onto the monolith ledge
I've already done that but I meant I can't work out where to go once I get inside. I just spend forever going through different doorways getting nowhere.
I can't really remember, but I think there's a puzzle somewhere that shows you a map of the labyrinth, or maybe marks the doors or something. Until you've done that the labyrinth is unpassable.

From earlier hints in the thread, I think Noggin is right, and it seems from my earlier, knowleggable (!) posts, it has to do with the rising sun rhyme. I gave loads of hints about that previously.

I solved the "sun" puzzle, but for the "moon" puzzle I presume you need to move the tip of the monolith, which Dizzy isn't strong enough to move. The only people I can think of who'd help would be Tarzan (but he disappears after you give him the banana) and the witch catching a spell (but I can't seem to find the brown mushroom for that stew). Helpsies?

I realise this game has been out a while and people have probably forgotten about how they completed it, but it's doing my head right in, so I figured no harm in asking if anyone can help. :wall:
My items: cake (second time round), holy cross (used), garlic, pickaxe (used), 1 ton weight (used), shield, blue jewel, pink jewel, big stick (used), cloth duster (used), knife and remote control.
The puzzles I have to solve are: getting the key for the maze, getting across the lava and finding a spell for the genie. I thought getting the key for the maze would either involve walking across the whole map or doing something about the ball/knob things on the monument, but I haven't been able to get anywhere with those thoughts and I've been stuck in the same place for hours now.
randomgirl - I think the key for the maze is the key I started giving clues for on the very first page of this thread. If I recall, I give a number of hints in the thread about how to get it.

You do, but then you continue the conversation in private messages with people, as far as I can see! I did pick up your clue about looking at the key and the clue underneath in conjunction. However, I have tried everything I can think of to actually do that!

Thank you thank you thank you SnTrooper. I was using the search page to search the forums, but I've just realised that I'm either not using it right or it's broken.
Started over again, and i remembered to get the key in the maze, but it was years ago, could i get some help, please... help an old stupid man :wink: Thanks. (still cant figure it out, even from the help in here)
Not sure what help you need Sun, if you've got the key then the moon is a crescent at the top of the tower, you need to move the 'block' that the moon is on so that the moon is full ...but you can't do that until you've strong enough to twist it and for that you need to eat Glenda's mixture with an added hogweed mushroom (discovered by looking at a book on botany). Don't forget to carry that ton weight across the 'moat's by the castle {yolkfolk}:cheers:
