I remember playing the original Lite version, and they got really lazy with the animating, none of the characters (apart from Dizzy) and the water didn't animate and the windy shaft was missing the little white stones going upwards.
Going from room to room was annoying too as you had to wait about 3 seconds to appear in the next room!

Lets hope it isnt going to be THAT accurate a recreation then {yolkfolk}:dizzy:
The map was made a few years back, when i did the full spellbound map.
but i decided to copy it out to a new map file and write the lite game first. I can then use a lot of the code (inventory, windy shaft, lifebar) as a basis to do the full version. After getting back into the swing of dizzyage coding i felt doing the full version of spellbound first maybe a bit too much, but it will get done!
Ok the game is completed and ready for a christmas day release.
But there is one more thing... Like the original the game includes all the original scroll messages, but for this release i've decided to do something a little different.
I'm going to include scroll messages put forward by members of the forum. I have 10 scrolls that i want to fill, so just reply to this thread with your suggestions it could be an advert for one of your games, an amusing comment or anything that you like!
The 10 that i deem to be the best will be included. The closing date will be 20th Decemeber.
That looks fantastic! However I *really* don't like the 'landing' sound that happens half a second after you've landed. In my opinion it should be removed.
oooooooooooh this looks really good peter, maybe just me but i don't find the landing noise annoying but maybe cause its just a little clip! really looking forward to playing
