Being old enough to have bought the first game when it came out, and most of the subsequent Speccy Dizzy adventure games, I would prefer new games rather than a remake of an old one, as graphically I never had a problem with the games, even with the Speccy colour clash, so don't see the point in playing the same game again just because it has got prettier graphics. Besides which, the DizzyAge remakes already do that job! But I do appreciate that there is a whole new generation out there that hasn't played them, and obviously it is cheaper and easier for Codies to remake an old game.
So, for me, and I guess a lot of others on this forum, the answer is Other, but we are a very small proportion of the marketplace, so I can't see Codies busting a hump just to please us
EDIT: Woohoo! I am obviously right, as 100% of the poll is for other!
Anyway, I went for Fantastic Dizzy, it seems to me like an obvious candidate for an HD remake, followed by Magicland.
Magicland of Fantastic Dizzy! Imagine the youths of todays generation of gaming getting frustrated by TIDs one life system
Judging by how they handled Prince of the Yolkfolk, I bet CodeMasters will take the next easiest Dizzy game and make it even easier. That could be Crystal Kingdom Dizzy, if they mix the 16-bit versions' greater number of hints and lesser number of enemies with the 8-bit versions' greater quantity of hearts and simpler puzzles. MagicLand Dizzy could work too, since the 16-bit versions made it fairly easy, and it would once again give them the excuse to use the exact same game engine again.
The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy would be good if you want one more familiar to console/American gamers. What would it need to become an easy portable game? A save-anytime feature and an onboard map of absolutely everything? On the other side of the fan base, Fantasy World Dizzy is popular among early computer gamers for reasons I'm not too clear on... but with infinite lives and better hints like properly labeled elevator keys, it wouldn't be too frustrating to figure out.
I think The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure is the game most deserving of a remake for never having had an official one before, and the one-object carrying capacity makes the interface pretty simple, even as it makes the quest awfully tedious. Crystal Fusion Software already scratched my itch for a nice remake of that game, though. And it really ought to be renamed "Dizzy: The Original Cartoon Adventure". Why put the word "ultimate" in your very first game? {yolkfolk}:dizzy:

I'm not sure it was really officially titled as "The ultimate cartoon adventure", I think it was only a slogan that was used on the menu screen, as the first game was just called "Dizzy" according to magazines and tape covers.
And that when the game was being mentioned online, people started calling it "Dizzy - The ultimate cartoon adventure" so that everyone knows which "Dizzy" is being talked about.
Personally, I think it would've made a lot more sense if they'd just called it "Dizzy the Egg" or something like that.
For phones I’m guessing they’d go with another simple title like Treasure Island Dizzy, Fantasy World Dizzy, or Magicland Dizzy… maybe even Spellbound Dizzy. For a bigger platform Fantastic Dizzy or Crystal Kingdom Dizzy. I can’t see the last 2 being portable to the phone, but if they are then I’m in!
[/quote]- That said, I saw an awful lot of reviews from people claiming the game was way too short, which in reality it is. However I feel the price was very well justified, and people should stop moaning.
I think if they release one of the bigger Dizzy games on mobile platforms they will be doing themselves a favour, but a Dizzy game is a Dizzy game. I don't think some of the people who reviewed it realised how much of a big deal the release was :wink:follow my game's remake rpg version or crystal kingdom dizzy progress here -

1 - Magicland
2 - Fantasy World
3 - Treasure Island
don't want:
1 - Fantastic
2 - Crystal Kingdom
3 - Spellbound
Although to be fair a save feature and unlimited lives in Spellbound might make all the difference.
i cant play these on my samsung galaxy ace  and im not about to spend a few hundred quid
on a new phone just so i can play one game... think i'll stick to my super nintendo emulator
for my phone for the moment.
