Log Cabin Dizzy v1.0 [DOWNLOADABLE]

Here we go then, my one-room Dizzy game is now finished. Log Cabin Dizzy has as many puzzles as a smallish DizzyAGE game (such as Winter Nightmare Dizzy), but entirely self-contained within a single room!

I had the idea about a year back to try and fit a whole game into one room, (I was going to call it One Room Dizzy...!) but I couldn't think of a plausible scenario for it. Now that I have, here it is!

There's no help thread, because it's quite easy (once you know what to do). I completed it on one of my test runs in 3 minutes and 37 seconds!

Story:

Dizzy and the Yolkfolk are sheltering from the winter snow and cold in their log cabin. Unfortunately there's no fire going, and Pogie is sitting on the wood!

Help Dizzy to keep the Yolkfolk warm and get the fire lit before they freeze to death!

Took me about 12 minutes, very nicely plotted and enjoyable.

I accidentally left the game running when I was uploading it to the site, so it affected the time I finished it the first time.

On my second attempt though.....4 minutes, 37 seconds :smile:

Couldn't seem to work out what to do at the end with the drinks.

Glad everyone likes it! :smile: It was more of an exercise than anything really, a challenge to see how many puzzles could be fitted into one room, and whether you could actually make a playable game out of it.

45mins quiggie? What did you get stuck on? {dizzy}:cool:

I got stuck for a while using the hot wax as I wasn't using it in the precise place. Hope I wasn't the only person trying the door panels, bit of chimney etc on everything when I first got stuck :wall:

Yeah he does, you can change it back to the old one in the menu. It's relatively simple to do really, similar to changing from 'normal dizzy' to 'dizzy with snorkel' in other games.

Of course it does need all-new dizzy sprites, but I did all the hard work drawing them when I did MFD.

Oh i knew you'd embarrass me by asking - it was trying to fill the bucket :blush: and i notice GRANDAD got stuck with the wax but hasn't put how long he took :cool: and yes i did try all the wooden panels etc on the fire {yolkfolk}:redfaced: anyway i enjoyed it all the more when i finally placed it in the right place {dizzy}:cool:

That's odd, XP, Vista and 7 all come with the ability to unzip folders built into the operating system.

EDIT:: in XP, open up the zip folder, and on the left menu there should be a tab called 'folder tasks', and under that should be 'extract all files'.

I don't have XP I'm on 7.
But when i try to unzip anything I'm told my trial version has expired. Never had do buy a copy before.

EDIT: ah i found the problem.. it wanted to use some s****y Winzip than the proper version.. i hadn't switched them back after i used Winzip (it was so long ago i forgotten about it)
