Merry Christmas everyone!

Since someone did ask me a while ago, here is some sort of present from me too...
Two of my Z80 adventure games I made a log time ago:

Strumf

http://www.simion.co.uk/alex/z80_strumf.zip

This one is pretty small (a couple of screens), inspired by the Smurfs.
Keys: left, right, up, down, space, enter

Arthur

http://www.simion.co.uk/alex/z80_arthur.zip

This is larger and more complex, inspired by Arthur the ghost featured in some of the french Pif magazine.
Keys Q,A,O,P,N
Note: to use an inventory object select use from menu (N) and hit left (O) until the item's slot is highlighted

Now, don't expect state of art games here and excuse bad English  I was about 17 at the time and most of the programming I learned by experiments (no internet back then and no programming gurus around). The games are programmed in assembler (was using Zeus), with most of the graphics captured from various games.
And I'm still proud of them

Hope you don't get stuck, or I'll have to search my old (real old) note books for walk-through.

To run them use any Z80 emulator. I've just tried Spectaculator for WinXP and they did fine.

Have fun!

And I'm still proud of them And you should! Making a simple game in Assembler is much harder than using programming language or Game making program
So it's really nice touch.
...
BTW:Why I can't find download? I tried google these games but I can't find them.Thread have no attachments too...

PS.That gargamel in first screen look really nice, I like the guy!;]

I'm badly stuck with arthur, but finished strumf.
Only thing i don't really like is large hitbox of water pond. But I like the game, it reminds me of MOE0 prototype.(Especially how hero jumps).

Thanks for the nice games, xelanoimis. Would you make just another small gift for russian Christmas Eve on January 7 by uploading your 'Dream' game, if it still exist?

Due to the interest in my Z80 works (I've got a couple of emails) I had to put up a detailed page:

http://www.simion.co.uk/z80/

You will also a bit of background and walkthroughs for my adventure games.

And, what I didn't tell so far, there is my first Dizzy game
Now don't laugh at it...

About the Dream game... I might look into it one day, but not now.

Is sticky spot in 'Dizzy - Magic Island' means death or does it have any use?
