Being concerned that 'When Dizzy Met Daisy' might not come last in this year's competition I have just uploaded another game to AdzM & Alex as an entry in this year's competition to ensure that I will come last. I do have a reputation to uphold.

'A Nice Cup Of Tea' started off as a one room game (from Jamie's idea), but as the minimum is ten rooms in the competion I have expanded it to ten rooms. Each 'area' is self contained and you don't carry items from one area to the next. Enjoy.

Another great game Grandad!

I love Dizzy games like this. I wish there were more like it. Compact and lots to do in a small area.

I design processes for a living - and have often used the example that something as simple as making a cup of tea can easily be broken down to at least a couple of dozen steps.
I loved seeing how that played out in this game. Thank you

Didn't come across any show stopping bugs. Noticed sometimes I didnt use all items to complete a level. And some left over items I could carry through to the next level. But thats no biggie.
And it felt like the game got easier as I progressed through the levels.
Great fun. I hope we see more games inspired by these sort of puzzlers. {yolkfolk}

It did get easier (and a bit more liinear) as you progressed as the game was originally meant to be a one room game, but had to have ten rooms for the competition and didn't want to have 'empty' rooms to make it up to ten; so it was a bit rushed to be finished in time for the competition. But you wouldn't believe the coding to ensure that each part of Denzil's picture was on top of the previous part used.

Glad you enjoyed it. I remember a programmer telling me in his 'learning' days he had to draw a flowchart for crossing a road and although he took moving vehicles into account he totally forgot about parked vehicles.

Come on Saleh, it's nowhere near as difficult as your game, although I expect to see a 'knicker' puzzle in your next game. {dizzy}:dizwink:

You do realise Grandad, that one of your games is now guaranteed not to come last?

Keep going at this rate and you'll beat my number of fan games made!

uhh, in the first room, I just 'used' the kettle next to the wine bottles, and it said 'dizzy fills the kettle with rain'. What rain? {yolkfolk}:puzzled:

also, in Daisy's room, there's an invisible ledge where you later push the dresser to...

EDIT:: finished it! The first room was by far the hardest.

I'm not liking the tone of the comments about the graphics.
They might not be to everyone's taste. I find nothing wrong with the graphics.
Visually I'm happy with the game.

I also think this has great gameplay, puzzle solving and humour, which is what Dizzy games are all about for me.

Remember, for most of the original Dizzy games, on Spectrums and Amstrads etc, graphics were not a patch on DizzyAge fan games

Simply already bothered to see children's graphics in games.

DizzyFan, I'm used to Rindex's comments over the last couple of years about my games being 'non speccy' or not keeping to the original concept by having Daisy as a hero and find it quite amusing that I have my own personal 'stalker' on this site. I have no intention of changing, so I look forward in the future to many more of his well structured, finely honed criticisms.

Jamie, I will if you don't make any more Dizzy games, but loved your one room game which gave me the idea for this one. I'm sure most people would love another game from you ...I'm still looking forward to the third part of a certain trilogy.

another bug:
you can use the kettle on the drip before you've made a hole in the ceiling for the drip to come through!
and I would politely point out to Rindex, that perhaps having new dizzy games with Grandad's style of graphics is better than having no new dizzy games from Grandad... {yolkfolk}

In other words, if you don't like the graphical style, don't play the games. What you shouldn't do however, is criticise someone for making their game how they want to make it.

I don't feel that I can beat MFD, so I don't intend trying. {dizzy}

It'll be next year now by the time that's finished. Probably.

Just as a general point I think it's good to have variety and different styles across game authors for players to choose from.

Also the games takes a lot of time and effort to make.

Not downloaded this one as yet.
