I do not own, nor intend on purchasing, an android or apple device so am unfortunately unable to play the new Dizzy game, and any sequels that may appear.
Are there any plans for a DSi or 3DS version? DSi would probably be the better version due to a larger audience. Maybe even get the old Game Gear and NES games released on the virtual console?
This is a good question. At the moment the only way you would be able to play he classic Dizzy games on the Nintendo DS systems would be using emulation.
3DS is much better than DSi in all aspects. You can enjoy its 3d feature, and if you feel some problem with this you can turn it off or turn its depth down. You can also enjoy some great features, which was not available on DSi.
Not to mention that the Dizzy rights are part-owned by Codemasters, in order to make a new official game it would require permission from Codemasters and an entire development team to focus on it. I don't think that either company has the time or people spare to focus on such a big project, and at the rate handhelds are being replaced it would be a waste of investment if even a skeleton crew spent months on making a small Dizzy game. The Android/iOS conversion of Dizzy Prince of the Yolkfolk was a good option though, but was its price tag enough to pay off the workers or did they barely scrape the barrel?
