Thanks to all the hints on here i'm now at the lake bit but can't find Vonnegurt's room? sure i've seen it before now, but lost!!! Thinking it's maybe the room locked from the inside or where the 2 snow demons are - have tried everything i've got in those places with no luck - so a little clue please someone {yolkfolk}:tired:

I can't believe!!! I thought I had used all the items there!!! I also guessed that was the magic ice needed but I thought better of it!! Oh well...I am now ready for the next puzzle to stump me!!!
Hey Quiggie, did you manage to find Vonnegurts room?? As nowhere girl said...it lies in the stairwell toward the observatory!! And by looking for that for you, I just noticed some pesky demons have left the building opening another section up to me :smile:

Thanks for that but unless i'm being thick or there's something else i haven't done nothing i've had since early on is working? Finding this game nice and tough and &*&**()(*& hate those demons {dizzy}:mad:

Hey Sparkles...if you are in the front garden I am guessing that you have used the dynamite on Vonnegurts room?
You can use a second on the totally opposite side of the map..think Kilimanjaro!!!
The third time I used it, it was not essential but just uncovers a diamond. Try smashing windows in gerwains castle!!!
I think that a second sapphire appears there anyway, as I am sure I have already used it once, and there is one there now, and I haven't mucked around down there.
I have just spent the last hour feeding Gawain - will he ever be satisfied?
I have found 3 places to use the dynamite, the vent, bedroom and once in the caves/mines and also found 3 places to use the pickaxe before it broke :sad:

Have noticed a couple of things though. If you use the axe on the back door of the Ranger’s hut before rescuing Theo you lose it. After rescuing Theo the door opens automatically. Also the ‘energy’ sapphire behind the brick near the soft rope is a bit odd. If you use the sapphire to replenish your energy and then drop the brick on top of the barrels and pick it up again another useable sapphire appears. Is this a bug …or a bonus for being clever?

The Sapphire's definitely a bug. There's a similar problem with the toolbox earlier. I'll add it to the list.
And frogandhat: No, he won't.
The clue to this is audio. What does the mechanism sound like when in operation? So you will need something that can be used as a ratchet - you will have it available :wink:
I think I used the pick axe on the second blockage you mentioned.
EDIT: have now found someone who would prefer my fish, not that it seems to have helped me much - I think I need to get out of the back garden somehow
