Amiga Dizzy games without an emulator

Some Polish guys are making "execs" of Amiga games. The way I understand it as a non-specialist, these are Amiga games with an in-built emulator that allows running them in a greatly simplified way. Asking a bit more revealed the games are based an a modified version of WinUAE. And indeed now it's possible to run these games as easily as any Windows-based game.
A link specifically to "Kwiksnax", but it includes a download of the whole "Dizzy 11 in 1" set. Unfortunately you have to register to download it and probably there is no registration in English.

Anyway, the set includes: Treasure Island, Fast Food, FWD, Kwiksnax, Magicland, Dizzy Panic, Yolkfolk, Bubble Dizzy, Spellbound, FAoD, Crystal Kingdom.

All games are run from the same file. You just choose which game you want to play.
Full screen is (in my opinion - unfortunately) default. You can change settings by pressing F12.
Alt - action key
Del - quit game (key settings can be changed too)
Extra features:
- trainer (enable or not when choosing game)
- game state save (in settings - F12)
This last option was a great relief for me. Laptops tend to overheat and I can run a short Dizzy Amiga game such as "Prince of the Yolkfolk" from the beginning to the end, but with longer ones - no way, the computer will overheat and shut itself down before I get to the third level of "Crystal Kingdom Dizzy". Without being able to save game state I would never have been able to complete these versions... At least until I get a stationary computer and I guess I'll have to do it and leave my laptop just for travels and library work.

I got it but when I tried to run it my antivirus said it was a virus and deleted it. I don't know if it has an actual virus or if my antivirus is just trigger happy. It has gotten false positives before. But just in case if you get it be wary.

My computer didn't have any problems with these games. It is, too, oversensitive sometimes - recently someone sent me cheats for the great platform game "Fury of the Furries" (you need to edit the game exe in a hex editor - I tried installing such a thing, but it just didn't find the required strings of characters you'd have to change). I managed to get really far, but I don't think I could ever complete the game without cheating - now I'm happy to have the screenshots I wanted in the game's D-Fend Reloaded profile* and can relax playing lower levels without cheating... Anyway, the computer didn't let me unpack the files. The person who made the cheat for me turned it into something that superficially looked like a music file and told me to just open it with 7zip - this worked, it allowed me to bypass my computer's oversensitivity.

*plus an extra hand-made graphic file "creature shades in Fury of the Furries". The furry ball which is the game's protagonist can have four colours (though not all are available in all levels): yellow can shoot fireballs, red can bite through some walls, green can use a rope to swing over obstacles or to pull stones, blue can dive and shoot bubbles. And something I really like is that the exact shades vary very much between stages (there are nine stages: Desert, Lagoon, Forest, Pyramid, Mountains, Factory, Village, Castle, Machine plus an interactive end screen with only green furry available to walk through the screen and swing a bit for about two minutes). Especially the blue - from slightly violet-blue in the Desert, through very dark in the Pyramid, to very bright in some other stages such as Mountains, Castle, Machine... So I collected all those colors in a file and can admire them. :smile:

This is great! I've wanted to play the Amiga versions for a long time now but didn't know how to go about it or even if I could. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
