Well, damn! That's a real shame. Very sad news indeed. {yolkfolk}:sob:

Wonder what would have happened if Dizzy Returns had got funding last year.

Sad day.
Looks like there is a lot of support in trying to get the guys jobs elsewhere.

The latest issue of Retro Gamer (issue 121) has a small article on Blitz' demise.

Like any Dizzy fan, I wish Dizzy Returns had somehow got funded (I haven't been following the Dizzy community online much, and only found out about Dizzy Returns after it had failed to meet its funding target).

However, I think the fact that the Oliver Twins were trying to pull in £325,000 in a fairly short time, from a fairly small community of fans, was an act of desperation. It seems (sadly) that Blitz was on the decilne for the last few years; and I doubt that Dizzy Returns ever had a snowball's chance in hell of being made.

Well it wouldn't have saved the company but I wonder if it was have kept them going for a bit longer, or at least a handful of workers. Maybe they were hoping Dizzy Returns would have saved them.

The whole kickstarter thing was wrong from the very start, should have been promoting it weeks before it went live.
