Sorry Quiggie, Annies' shoes are the ones she's already wearing but she makes a comment about them when you try to make her climb the creeper.
I've been waving the wand around at the entrance to the strongman's temple (inside and out) but still can't find another door. I found a switch on the upper level though. Is that the one you mean?
Items I have are; purple jewel, spade, pickaxe, crowbar, insulating tape, wooden spoon, can opener, one plank, spanner, Theo's wand, magnifying glass, mirror, tract and cushion. There's so much stuff but I can't find anywhere to use it!!
I know i'm getting confused at times but all i know is that when i got past tarzan i progressed a good bit further. Did you climb the vines? when you go through the door at the bottom it leaves you on a ledge and you go right & use the pickaxe then some puzzle solving. Think you find some dog food round there, use it with the can opener at rippa in area 1 the magnifying glass is used past the policeman in area 4 After these bits i found theos lab, done some things there and i think thats what solved the gobbledegook in areas 3 & 8. Think if you get some of these you'll find your way!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope - good luck. I'm really stuck again now!!! Got a rough idea what to do but there are so man scenarios :wall:
Sparkles, the upper door is in one of the screens with the swinging rocks.
Ugg... that darn rock just gave me tons of trouble. You know you are having problems when you are trying to move a rock with a pool cue or a wooden spoon. Thanks Quiggie for mentioning the pickaxe. It was the first thing I tried but Annie just dropped it without even attempting to use it (the slacker {dizzy}:biggrin: ) so I didn't think it was what I was supposed to use.
Oops, sorry about the pickaxe SnTrooper, I assumed that Annie would be the last person to get up there so didn't bother to do an 'action' for her ....oh well, another little typing error to fix for the next update (which unless you find any more serious errors. won't need a restart).
With regard to the 'hidden doorways', there is always one doorway in view and you get the comment 'it doesn't seem to lead anywhere' until you find its hidden exit.
Glad to see you getting into the spirit of the game Annie.
By the way, I know there seems to be millions of usable items, but believe me when I say that all of them (apart from the police ID card and the magic wand) disappear from the inventory when they have served their purpose.
Thanks for the help everyone. Have solved the temple and moved on quite a bit. Have solved Rippa but not the Pizza man. Now have a million items and I think I'm probably at the same stage as Quiggie, trying to work out what to use where. By the way, I thought the Cocaine might make the man feel like a tiger but apparently not. Must be low grade stuff!!

In the temple (area 9) I can see the item on the bottom of lava gasp, but I don't know what to do. Any clues guys?
If you got Annie to talk to Theo in the area 6 temple then you'll know that the temple is dedicated to Vesta, the goddess of fire (that's the woman in the picture) ..and the two statues are holding unlit torches. {yolkfolk}:animwink:
I've tried the snooker cue and the golf ball on the Shaman neither of which worked and I've been through all my other items and can't find anything else appropriate. Am I missing something? I've also tried to light the torches without success but I didn't get Theo to say the goddess was Vesper. Is that a problem?
You need to gain access to the golf course now Sparkles to get the other item the Shaman needs! For the life of me i can't get those torches lit, maybe because Annie didn't talk to Theo but i wouldn't think so.
Right i give up Grandad, think i've tried ever scenario possible [but obviously not] to light those damn torches, so anyone solved that please post how before i go insane :blush: FORGET THAT - don't know how but i think i've done it phew :smile:
I'm assuming that I have to speak to the club secretary at Downside Manor. I've tried several times with each of the girls and have also tried using the fingerprint powder and the salt cellar but can't for the life of me work it out. or do I need all three girls together?
I've found the red door but can't work out what to do next.
No, no problem Sparkles, knowing she's the goddess of fire is not essential - if Annie talks to Theo first, he doesn't know her, so he just chats and when she tells him of the quest, he asks to speak to either Daisy or Dora as he knows them (I like to add a touch of personality to the characters in my games when I can). Getting each girl to talk to certain characters can give different responses and in some cases add to your enormous pile of usable items.
The statues in the temple can be made to lower (and raise) their arms if you press the correct buttons (one for each statue and both buttons are in the same room). Lighting the torches also removes the r/h wall so that you can just use the doorway to get back to the portal rather than going back through the temple.
The religious tract gives directions to the club secretary in Downside Manor. Be positive!
Oh Grandad I think I've been a silly girl. I bought a jackhammer and got conned by the geyser outside the golf club so now I've got no money and I need to buy pepperoni. I've tried back in the street of houses but no-one wants to know. I've done the torches in the temple and have filled one vial so I am making some progress.
Don't suppose you could help again I do feel a bit clueless!!!
Dont worry Sparkle you don't need money for the pepperoni, you'll come across an item to help. Funny though it wasn't a jackhammer that i bought in the shop!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry never remember where i get stuff from but if you've found the mace try it on the deli guy.
I was going great guns last night & thought i'd get through to the end but again well & truly stuck. Grandad i've not progressed any further since finding the fire jewel & eating the blessed fruit. Not a 100% but think i've tried every item everywhere! Got a couple of people in houses to do [oooh matron], waterfall & have achieved nothing in the station apart from getting the mirror. Any and all help much appreciated ta. :wall:
Thanks Quiggie, I tried the mace on the delicatessen man before I knew I needed pepperoni so obviously nothing happened. I now had to do a search for the mace 'cause I put it down and couldn't remember where!! Found it now and about to try it out.
I've only done one more small thing that you may not have done. I put something I found in the hut near the pool cues, into Theo's grinder and then had to find a container for it. Don't know if that helps and up to now I've no idea what to do with it!
Done that thanks, but obviously not used it yet. Think this is one of Grandad's more tough games, it's got me really flumoxed, know what to do with some things i've got but no idea where!
I'm glad you said this game is difficult Quiggie. I'm begging to feel decidedly inadequate!
I've got Pogie and I've been in the Temple in area 9 and got the cloth but I really can't work out how to get up on the ledge on the far left. I've tried the plank, the dynamite and the pickaxe and I'm sure you should be able to access that area.
Thought I knew where to put the cloth too but no joy!! Also can't think what on earth to do with Pogie (have tried various things so far).
Like you I'm stumped but not as far on as you. I'd be grateful for any help or hints anyone can offer.
just get one of the girls to stand against the wall then speak to her. Don't go in the drink till you've got a certain fire jewel - then read the book again in theo's lab.
