Probably makes no difference either way as people usually read the latest version of the post before replying.
In the kitchen I used 4 bundles of twigs, the piece of wood and three lumps of charcoal before using the blowtorch. When the sprinkler activates the food also reappears back in the fridge.
If you fall off the ir platforms, jump rather than walk for minimal health loss. If you're going to the second set of rooms jump to the pole between the sets of rooms as you can pick up the circular ir platform there. On the way back jump to the first pole as you can climb all the way back to the top.
PS if you're reading this Simon you'll be pleased to note that it took me about five hours to figure out how to get the growth hormone back to Dizzy!!!!!
I've already burnt the piece of wood, does it mean I'm stuck? However, I already know the food reappears. As for the IR platforms - there is a normal metal platform above with a battery, but I can't jump to this one...
Edit: OK, I managed to get past the smoke sensor without the piece of wood, however the "compulsive" card also didn't help with that security barrier in Denzil's area... Any advice what to do now?
You use the glue on another object in that room ...the electricity jolt also affects the blue rock if it's in that part of the room. You can't do anything with the smoke alarm until you've found the kitchen.
The tube for sending stuff to Denzil is just past the top of the elevator that goes down to the science rooms. The return tube in Denzil's area is in the next lot of rooms to the right, but you'll have to open the safe first.
Also discovered a sneaky little way to get Daisy to the 'pulsating bud' without all that jumping around, not that it will help till I can discover how to identify something.

How the hell did you get near that pulsating bud Grandad, i can't action even when i'm close to it. Tried all sorts of jumps down the tube after going up the windy tunnel?

Perhaps if the security guy in Denzil's area were Depressed he wouldn't care who came and went!!!!
Actually, I thought about it too, but moving over the reactor is such a pain that I waited to test it... However, now Denzil has to identify the serums. The robot zapped him, so I guess I'll have to wait until more doors are open so that Denzil can move between both areas without going through the reactor zone? I don't think I can identify it at the place. I still have no idea how to help G.Diz. move around. Those controls on the bridge seem to have no effect whatsoever.
Its the controls all along the platform where you contact GDizzy, the little red buttons go up and down and some across - couldn't explain exactly cause i mostly done it by trial and error, checking each time i moved one, but do a save before you start!
I'm well stuck again now, got GDizzy in the transporter so he's safe, have found the serums, can't get the water to stop in Denzil's and have tried all sorts in Denzil's area to no avail, got the signal blocker once i know what the serums are but HOW. Can't seem to use any of my items to do anything, they are: some pc cards, signal blocker, rubber tipped syringe, strong magnet, spray paint, laser pointer [used], blowtorch [used], beam invertor Any and all help much appreciated ta
I'm trying the G.Diz. section again and I really can't figure out the bridge. In fact, earlier I did it wrong, but now I'm indeed moving those buttons and I don't see any changes to the room where GD is. Maybe some advice about the serums, too?...
Nowhere Girl, try moving GDizzy as far right as he'll go and then move all the switches left of the elevator. That should give you the idea.
Quiggie, look for something in Denzil's section you might test the serum's on. After that, the problem is how to get them there. Especially because you can't carry the signal jammer, the IR glasses and a serum at the same time.
And Steve, all I can say is  {yolkfolk} {yolkfolk}
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAargh you ******** this bits got me completely stumped for now - i either need to turn the water wheel or get more doors open maybe? to test the serum's i can't get to the other side with 3 items - oh what to do!!!!!!! your cruel Noggin really cruel LOL - off to try, try, try, try {yolkfolk}:dizzy:
I have no idea how to do it too. I tried adding the serum to the water to "send" it to the other side, but the syringe can't even be dropped there. Btw, how to get past the electricity in GD's area? I have already passed the parts controlled from the bridge (I guess) and Dizzy's actions don't seem to affect those zapping pieces.
You'll need to get the memory card from the control room in the arboreum before you can adjust the wheel in Denzil's area ...and I only discovered late yesterday afternoon that some switches can be moved, so as I got totally stumped in the area with the bouncing ball, today is 'let's sort out GrandDizzy' day ..and thanks for the 'rubber boots' hint Annie, so I'll move them over to GD before playing around with the bridge switches.
I got G.Diz. safely to the teleport room, but what now? I have already found one memory card in the arboreum (or in Daisy's area generally), but some doors in that section are still closed. How can I open more of them? I figure it happens when a new memory card is inserted into the main computer, but I don't have access to any new ones...
You need to get that card in the control room of the arboreum to open more doors and to do that you have to inject the 'bud' with the growth hormone. Hint: the 'ir platforms' are still there even if you're not wearing the glasses; you just can't see them. PS Simon, I've found a bug. Once you've rescued GrandDizzy if you then go back to the bridge and move the extreme right control it switches to GrandDizzy dieing on the electric balls and you lose a life.
Noggin, I think the game is really a bit TOO unforgiving. Making the serum distribution random is too difficult - it would have been much better if after finding the right serum once and then falling off the platforms you could know which one to choose after reloading. And it's really difficult when you can only save at a single spot. At least one spot - per section, this would have been more just... Really, putting several impediments into one game is a bit too much... it's a pity because the graphics are just amazing, but now the amount of frustration is immense...
I just can't return after identifying the serum. Really, you could have made just a single easier element: the third mast reaching to the same height, so that not being able to reach the horizontal-moving platform wouldn't mean not being able to pass this section. Yes, I like games, no, I'm not dexterous. I'm not obliged to be.
Sorry. I'm really completely unable to do it. If anyone could offer some help, I would be grateful. But I absolutely can't pass this part by myself.
Nowhere Girl, have you marked the platforms with the spray paint?
I take your point though. I was thinking it would've been better if I'd put a plant on either side of the platforms. One that was always wrong and the other always right. That way, it would be much easier to work out what you have to do.
Past Denzil's transporter there's a switch throw that & the wind tunnel past Daisys is where you can drop from onto the but to inject with the serum.
I'm at a complete standstill again Noggin. Met dora & gone as far as i can with her, need to drop that bloody Alien, is there anything to be done in the cold storage? And need to get the card above the dirty water at Denzil's area & don't know how to stop the large ball from killing me, thought i had to jump on it to get higher lol. I'm really enjoying the game, although it is frustrating but i quite like that, all the more pleasurable when you solve it. Saying that a little hint would be good now cause i'm doing this again :wall: :wall: :wall:
I think I'm roughly at the same point as you Annie - have you discovered the personality card slot just at the front of the 'van'? (not that the object I got has helped in any way so far).
Nowhere girl, as Annie said, flip the switch in Dizzy's area just past the 'transport tube' to send stuff to Denzil and the fans change direction, then you can use the air flow pipe just past Daisy's 'transport tube' to go up, then just walk left and drop down the pipe and you land on the new shoot. Walk to the left and jump into the control room and get the memory card.
