I banged the gong ages ago and have them all waiting for lunch. I've searched every inch of the school but damned if I can find anything. I also have a second patient in the doctor's waiting room but when I go into the doctor's office I can't get them to come upstairs. I think there must be something I haven't actioned somewhere and I'm really stuck. Any ideas anyone?

Really, you should've found a book up on the ledge in the office, don't worry about the patient in the docs that'll follow later. If you have already found and used that bk then you should be able to get the custard bk!!!!!!

I've got on like a house on fire since the last post. I've now placed all the items but still have two poles standing. In the first room, is the middle sign a worm?

It's a grey duster Sparkles ...I used a 'brown' version of it in Back to Magicland and people thought it was a poo!
The positions of the poles are in the same order as the signs - so just swap the two items.

I've tried swapping items but am still left with two poles standing.
In the first room I have placed the cucumber on cool, the feather on the duster and the dead herring on distraction
In the second room I have placed the wooden plank on Touch, the violin bow on the tie and the football on exclusion
In the third room I have placed the toilet brush on Daft, the lightbulb on the house and the pencil on censorship
On the outside plinth I have placed the magic bull on the china shop
I still have the fishing rod, have I missed something? Its' quite likely knowing me!!

Hmm, you should only have one pole showing Sparkles. The sign says 'TOUGH', not 'TOUCH' and you should give the fishing rod back and immediately guess what 'tough' represents.

Most of my dusters are yellow (just to distinguish them from anything else you understand!).
I think there may have been a problem with the poles because I reloaded an earlier saved game, put all the items in the same places and the poles disappeared.
Now I have a problem because I've been to the job centre and I'm pretty sure I've got
(Sadie the liquorice allsorts girl) sitting in the doctor's waiting room but when I ring the bell the receptionist says there are no patients. Have I got it wrong or is there a bug?

It is a bug that has been fixed in the update. She isn't supposed to be there. Just look for her somewhere else.
Finished!! I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Yet another triumph Grandad and look forward to the next one. The ending made me laugh out loud (or lol if you prefer!!).

I've come to a frustrated standstill with the following items:
pencil, feather (used once), football, rosette, magic bull, tankard, camera, dead herring, bread crumbs, fishing rod, brass candlestick, crowbar (used twice), toilet brush (used once), butterfly net (used once), walking stick, cucumber & bungee rope.
I need to:
Switch candlesticks in the church (I need to remove the lightbulb first)
Make the custard for the troll (I have the tankard, but no recipe or idea where to find any)
Get the parrot down (I have the bread crumbs, but it wouldn't see them in the grass)

Get the last gold item out of the cabinet (using the crowbar and something else?)
Get something sparkling out of the rabbit hole
Find a pipe (to go with the deerstalker hat, violin and violin bow)
Use the password somewhere the man in the pub gave me
Do something in the school with the three characters waiting for food
The photo of the sheep wearing the rosette is now up in the pub, but seems to have made no difference to anything.
