Here is my latest Dizzy game and entry into the DizzyAGE competition, finished in time for Easter thanks to SnTrooper's beta testing.

Mushroom Kingdom Dizzy
Download: https://app.box.com/s/xxg3afdyde430deyik8plthts2lqdjt1

It is a direct sequel to Another Dizzy Day and follows off from when Dizzy met his surprise visitor. He blacks out and wakes up in the Yolkfolk Woods, all alone. Seeing Theo in the distance, he decides to find out what is going on. Standard Dizzy rules and gameplay applies, so get adventuring!

what a superb game. Love the bright colours and the graphics - simple, yet very effective. Played all day yesteday and probably going to spend all day today as well ...trying to find that damn 50th coin!!!!!!! {yolkfolk}

Grandad - you are a bit further on than me (36 coins, and found Dozy, Denzil and Dora but no idea what to do with them yet), but I have found quite a few coins hidden behind scenery, as, I guess, have you? I've obviously still got a long way to go!

Thanks. That last coin is really well hidden, you'll kick yourself when you find it though.

Dizzy was not too impressed with the idea of growing a moustache, and as he wears boxing gloves, I wasn't going to ague with him.

But surely that would make it harder for him to have a shave? {yolkfolk}

where is the last coin hidden?
Couldn't find it anywhere ^^
And pressing enter every 3 steps is not my idea of fun

There are eight hidden coins in the game. Two are behind items and the other six are behind objects that Dizzy walks behind. All the rest are in plain sight.

The one that I couldn't find is behind tree leaves.

Yeah finished! Loved it. The 'coin' SnTrooper' mentions was my 49th coin. The 50th was as sneaky as some of the puzzles I put in my games. So I'm not telling as to where I found it {yolkfolk}

I've just got through the first pipe and really like the look of the Super Mario style graphics in the mushroom kingdom. However, the up arrow doesn't cause Dizzy to jump, only the space bar and I find it quite difficult to play that way. Did anybody else have this problem at all?

Yes, but only cos I'm a smoker and usually control the player with my right hand whilst having a puff with my left (until it's time to press action). I'll assume Egotrip did it that way so that the up arrow could be used for entering buildings.

Yes, I also found it a little tricky, and I don't smoke! (filthy habit! ) I have my left hand on ZX and my right hand on Enter and Up arrow on my laptop, so to use space for jump I either had to use my either of my thumbs and a different finger on Enter. What I didn't try though was using my Xbox controller to control Dizzy, so I don't know how that would have fared.

Thanks, well I'll persevere with the space bar and have to save it a lot as I'll inevitably die more frequently that way. It's a shame we can't set the controls ourselves with DizzyAge games. The game looks great fun at least!

I should save often anyway as there are plenty of things that can hurt you in the game, but picking up coins gives you a bit of health back again, so its not too bad. Good luck!

Well, I always played Dizzy using Space to jump on the CPC. I also grew up playing Mario, which uses a button to jump. And yes, I disabled up for jump in order to press up to enter buildings. It is the exact same controls and system as the prequel, Another Dizzy Day.

Hey EgoTrip,

Finally got round to finishing this. Thought it was a fun little game - some the jumps were very devious. It could've done with a few more puzzles though.

I got a bit stuck melting the ice, you needed to be very precise with where you used the item.

Hope you'll be making another game soon. Good luck in the competition.
