As usual, I'm unable to continue a Grandad game without pathetically appealing for help...

So I've got to the temple, that I needed the password to enter (but I'm now able to read runes)
with the heavy figure that I need to manipulate using the colour buttons and levers onto the floor
panel in order to raise the gate.

Any chance of some help with the combination?

Sorry Armorog, I thought the puzzle was reasonably logical as you can visualise the direction the statue needs to travel and see how the blocks move.

Here's a bit of help: Initially, press all the buttons (except yellow) once to set them in the right position. Then press yellow to drop the statue onto the red block. Then it's just a case of pressing each button once more in the correct order to move the statue across the room and onto the floor button.

Try saving the game after each time the statue moves successfully to save a lot of faffing about.

Ta again Grandad, now I've got past that screen I can crack on! I've been enjoying this game a lot,
but am getting worried about spending all my pennies on repeated goblin ferry trips!
Sorry to see Annie's Legacy didn't get the prime position it deserved in the Easter Competition - it goes without saying that I enjoyed far more than the other entries!

Armarog: any chance you could pm me the solution before i get carted off?

EDIT: Hurrah cancel above finally got it - very stuck now trying to get the ship & maintenance centre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Armorog, appreciate that some people like my little escapades into the realms of debauchery, but 'always in the best possible taste' (if you remember one of Kenny Everett's characters).

This game is meant to be a challenge in lots of ways. For example, the ferryman on Top Island will charge you 15 coins instead of five to get back to Dog Island if you're not wearing the beard, or have set off the 'beard alarm'. Likewise you can only get the 60 coins from the 'loyal' citizens of Dog Island before you set off the 'beard alarm'. In a perfect game you only need two ferry tickets and after buying all the stuff you should still have about 45 coins left for loads of goblin ferry trips.

Annie, you should remember what Paxo said about King Percy.

B*gger! Having just got the horn of boo, I've only got 11 coins left as I was indeed overcharged
by the ferryman. I'm not sure I can finish the game limited to 11 trips between islands

UH OH thats not good - but i'm stuck with plenty of cash but nothing to do. Did you get the rope or ship yet or get into the museum or maintenance centre? these are what i've left to do but completely at a standstill

Quiggie, I haven't used the horn yet - can't find a sacred place in which to do so. I can't get into the museum or maintenance building either, and I can't turn off the electrified floor to get under the ship.
Haven't used the screwdriver yet, or got the ingredients to make the strength potion. I'm worried my coin supply is so limited it won't carry me through to the end anyway!

I've no idea how much more coin you'll need but there's a bit for you to do in top island. When you get to where the guards are patrolling stand at bottom of steps & press enter run to the side & enter again you'll work out some things from there. Don't worry about the horn yet but it's used in the sewer to the right.
I'm just going round in circles now can't seem to do anything with anything :teethy:

I do love a Grandad game and this one is no exception but guess what? I'm stuck.

I'm running out of money fast. I have the horn of Boo, Daisy HQ cell key, walking stick, false beard and Bilko ID I've given Dylan the red flower but can't unlock the door at the end of the sewer on Dog Island. I can't work out how to turn off the electric floor on Tar Island and I can't find any rope or key cards. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Sparkles. The guard outside Dylan's house is facing right, so you can sneak up on him from behind if you use the Goblin ferry service (or slip out the back of the herbalist shop - if you've read the sign on his window) - remember what GrandDizzy said about his spare walking stick?

Daisy HQ on Top Island: you can use enter to go round the corners on the ledges, but you could easily get shot when going back, so I also made it so that you can just walk off the ledge and land on the ground.

Sorry Armorog, but think you're up that certain creek without a paddle as there are lots more journeys to make.

Paxo telling you that King Percy has been missing since he went to the temple of Boo was a hint. King Percy is still in the Temple of Boo ...don't you just love games with a secret passage. {dizzy}

Thanks Grandad. Sorted that but now don't know what to do with the Polar Bear and does finding the secret passage have something to do with moving the statue to the right spot (now that you're strong?).

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS i finished (with only 3 coins left phew) in spite of you menacing sadistic puzzles Grandad. That was great, one of your more frustrating ones considering all the ways to die & the big worry of having enough coins to reach the end - thanks & look forward to the next sweary challenge {yolkfolk} {yolkfolk} {yolkfolk}:thumb: {yolkfolk}:yahoo:

Dont worry about the polar bear yet, moving the statue is just a matter of moving the blocks so that the statue falls onto the button at the bottom - sorry i can't remember what order i did it in, just went random - do plenty of saves tho.

Thanks Quiggie but I've already solved that puzzle. I'm trying to find The secret passage and King Percy. Any hints gratefully recieved

Mmm thanks Grandad, I've caught up to where Quiggie was earlier, I've made the last potion and come across the murderous bear. I need to trade the ship for the rope, but have no idea how to go about getting hold of that ship. As I'm down to 3 coins, I'm completely screwed! (which reminds me of your last game...)
Better get started again, and avoid getting stiffed on the ferry trips next time round!

Well done Annie, knew you could do it {yolkfolk}
Hope you enjoyed the 'Power of Lola'.

Should be a lot easier second time around Armorog as you know most of the ways to die. Another money hint - return the key to Mrs Frown before actioning the red flower that sets off the 'beard alarm' or you won't get your deposit back.

Sparkles, you can't find the secret passage until you've replaced the Medallion of Boo. Then think buttons!
Mind you, one of your earlier comments made me realise there's a potential bug in the game which I'll have to fix before SnTrooper starts playing.
