Hi everyone,

I am ripping the amiga Spellbound Dizzy's sprites at the moment and I wanted to share an original creation of mine.

I will eventually share all of the sprites. They are complete at the moment but require some adjustments.

EDIT:

Here's the inventory items.

Thanks, {dizzy}

I will upload the remaining sprites very soon.

Here a little something I have created a few days ago:

Moved to General Discussion as this thread isn't about fan-made games.

I do like the background change there. I could've done with the item graphics when I made the Magic Maniax games.

By the way I am unable to see the original post and my other reply. I will try to upload more today.

I can't see it either. I saw your reply earlier (but not the original post) when this was in the fan game section. But now I can't see either. And your thread in the Spellbound section is blank too. Weird.

All this will no doubt come in handy for anyone who wants to make a DizzyAGE game with 16-bit graphics.

And about Danny....

This is one I did over 10 years ago for one of my early games.

Your Danny looks amazing, and it looks just like the Spellbound Characters.

Does Yolkfolk.com have a download of all the 16-bit Dizzy tiles? Could be a handy resource... {yolkfolk}:animwink:

Well if they do, I've wasted days screencapping 16-bit graphics for my game! Anyone is free to use what I've pieced together, though I won't be finished for a good long while

I'm confused about this 16 bit imagery for DizzyAge games. I make all my graphics with Corel PaintShop Pro Photo X2 and save them as 8 bit images. As I've said previously, the tiles I've created for all my 'new versions' of Original games are identical to the Amiga/Atari versions and they are 8 bit images, not 16 bit. Looking at the sprites shown in this thread they don't look any different to my tiles - there's certainly no extra colours, so I don't understand what makes 16 bit better than 8 bit. Can anyone explain this in layman's terms?

No idea I'm afraid. I just know that Fantastic Dizzy looks a LOT better on Megadrive than NES. There ARE more colours, surely?

I've no idea. By 16-bit, I just meant the 16-bit machines.

Not like the sprite sheets Darkly made, but It's a good idea for somewhere down the line.

I do have a RAR file that contains png files of some 16-bit graphics that I may dig out at some point.

By the way if anyone has the sprites for the spectrum spellbound dizzy I would be very grateful. I love the sad states of the yolkfolk in that game. I am thinking about coloring them the same way I colored Danny. So far I only have Dora (partially I think) and A bit of Grand Dizzy.

Here's an example:

Even if you don't have the sprites you can just print screen animation cycle for the Yolkfolk, because I don't have a spectrum emulator at the moment.

I wonder if they ever actually created multiple sprites for the amiga spellbound dizzy. More importantly if they ever stored them somewhere.

EDIT: As of now I have completed most of them using my imagination. All except Dylan's sprites. If you could screen cap his animations, I would be very grateful.

And the complete list of sprites (except the rocks)

Darkly, I've just realised that those object sprites on that link are too blurry for anyone to use.

I'm sorry to say, It's just that Sprite sheet graphics need to be in pixels like the Yolkfolk and item graphics above.

It's okay. That sheet was more like a sign of what is more to come. I will create TGA files that are perfectly usable in DizzyAge. {yolkfolk}:dizzy:
