I don't know if all you knows about this animated movie.
When I was a child (age 5) this is was one of my favorite because it shares some similarities with the Dizzy games: an egg with hands and legs and some adventures.
The name is The Real Story of Humpty Dumpty or in other parts of the country The Rise and Fall of Humpty Dumpty.

Here is a picture of the VHS tape:

And here is the animated movie:

From my point of view this movie make me think of Magicland Dizzy.
Why you will ask: because the actress that played the voice for the witch it's named Glenda, like the name of the witch in the game; she has a pot, she has a cat, a frog appear that is waiting for a prince to be kissed or something like that (dora the frog is kissed by prince charming in the game) etc.
Anyway I'm very glad that after so many years I've finally watched it again.
Tell me what you think.

P.S. after I've watched this animated movie I was thinking that the egg people from the Dizzy games were created by mistake by the evil Wizard Zaks when he was fighting with the good Wizard Theodor.
It doesn't exist a backstory or official info about how egg people were created or how they evolved etc.
Another interesting thing is were is grandmother of Dizzy. She was killed by Zaks? What about his parents? And they were killed?

Best regards,

Amazingly, I do remember this.

It was part of a TV series called "The real story of..." that used to be shown on Cartoon Network UK many years ago.

I think that's a fan theory, but a very good one too.

We all did a discussion many years ago where we answered each other's questions regarding Dizzy's origins, just for fun.

However, these two pages on our site that describes all the known characters may be an interesting read to you.

Well officially, there was never any mention of Dizzy and Dora's parents or their grandmother and what happened to them.

But on Fantasy World, there is a screen called "Dizzy's Parents' Hut", but they've never appeared on the games.

Actually the very first Dizzy game and Treasure Island Dizzy mentions the Yolkfolk in the inlays. The names aren't given to them until Fantasy World Dizzy.
