Thanks Frog and Hat, I knew I needed something to help down the tube but I hadn't actioned at the mouth of the tunnel so hadn't read the message. Wow that's opened up masses to explore. I'm sure I'll be back for more hints though, especially with the maths puzzle, tried the obvious in case it really was that simple but no!!!

Quiggie - I am at about the same place as well, and I was up far too late last night playing, and work again tomorrow, so I think I will also finish there for the night.

I don't know about Grandad living in his mum's basement, but I do know his parents can't have been married! And I also believe that before he reached his inestimable years, Grandad was a steward in a bar. {yolkfolk}:joy:

Frobozz seems to be a Zork reference, but not being as old as Grandad I have never played any of the Zork games.
According to the Urban dictionary, it "can be used as a substitute for "shit/crap/stuff/etc" or as an exclamation" or can be "the term used to describe a man's goatee that looks like the world's bushiest pussy stuck on his face." Now, granted, the latter meaning does sound like a Grandad clue, but I am b*ggered if I can make or tail of it. {dizzy}:huh:

I think I must be at about the same point as everyone else now. Items I have are:-
Blue kilt, golf club, spanner, lettuce leaf, pack of cards, lantern, spade. Still have no idea about the maths problem and am struggling with the dam. Anyone else made any more progress?

I've just discovered the full wonder of Frobozz and have a couple of useful items as a result.

Now my items are : spade (used twice), yellow hair dye, spanner, cassette player with cassette (used), unlit torch, yellowpurplegreen gem(s), golf club, lettuce, lantern (used twice), playing cards (used twince), open lock spell ( used), alice brand (different colors), empty jar, garlic, harmonica, tshirt, blue kilt, glasses, 15 coins. Am o my to do list :

-dressing for the lettuce for the snail
-something for the mermaid
-blue statue from the bottom of the river
-water puzzle with switches
-food for the hedgehog
-math puzzzle......i try the numbers from the train 346521
-pass the cop...members only
-get more balls for the wiseman
-pass the mafia guy ...i think i need to solve the mermaid puzzle

No ideea on what to do next?
