I need help with my up-coming Dizzy game. Can I ask a few questions?

Hello, everyone!

I’m working on a brand-new dizzy game of my own (my first) and I’m about 25% done. I just wanted to ask for help with a few things.

• Do you know anywhere I can find some good music for Dizzy games for free? So far I’ve just been pinching tunes from other games.

• Grand Dizzy being central to my storyline, there are several things I need to know for my game. Firstly, is he Dizzy’s grandfather? In Russian Grand Dizzy is known as “Dedushka” or “Grandpa”. In Dizzy and the Ring of Zaks, for example, Granddizzy addresses dizzy as “vnuchok” or “grandson”. Since other Russian games do this, I’m thinking of doing the same, and it would also fit my storyline nicely. The other question I have about Grand Dizzy is: how old is he? It might seem unimportant, but it is rather important to my game’s plot.

I know it's a bit weird, but I would be useful for the purposes of my game to slap a rough date on things like when Dizzy or Grand Dizzy were born (or however yolkfolk start out! {yolkfolk}:puzzled: ).

I would like answers as soon as possible, so I can get back to work on my game. Thank you in advance! {yolkfolk}:joy:

Officially, Grand Dizzy is Dizzy and Dora's grandfather.

His age is not known.

There is no official information on how old the Yolkfolk are, or their date of birth.

But a few fan games over the years have guessed their ages.
Like most of the Yolkfolk such as Dizzy or Denzil being mid-teens etc.

Thanks, Adz.M, you have been very helpful. If Dizzy's generation are mostly mid teens, I can guess at Grand Dizzy's age from there! :tup:

Eternal mid-teens, I would say, because formally speaking, Dizzy is 34 years old. :wink: He's even had the Oliver Twins come to his birthday. :wink:

Well actually, the first Dizzy game came out in June 1987 which would make Dizzy 33, not 34.
I should know as I'm the same age, I was born 1 month after Dizzy TUCA's release. :surprise:

but, Dizzy wasn't a baby in the first game ...so if he's an 'eternal teenager', technically he would be in his mid 40s, so would be an 'eternal middle aged man' ...but as he's never had acne and never been portrayed as a schoolboy, he could possibly be an 'eternal pensioner' {yolkfolk}:cheers:

However, I don't think it really matters whether Grand Dizzy is 70 or 700 years old - just make a number up Andrey and use that - it's called 'poetic licence' and I'm sure I'm not the only person who doesn't care how old any of the yolkfolk are as long as we get a new game to play :tup:

I just hope your version of Daisy is over 16 though Grandad! {yolkfolk}:joy:
