Some unused graphics from the Spectrum version of ‘Dizzy Panic’ has been discovered.
Whilst experimenting with a GFX Ripper feature on the Spectrum emulator ‘EmuZWin’, I came across these suspicious looking pieces of graphics hidden among the garbled pixels.

After extracting the graphics then inverting the colours via Paint, I used Clickteam Fusion’s image editor to crop off the white vertical blocks and merge the pieces together to reveal what looks like unused Dizzy sprites.

Not only that but whilst doing more sweeps around the GFX Ripper, I also found two unused toys – the rocket and guitar, and small text boxes saying the word ‘panic’.
I did once read somewhere and looking at the concept documents that this game was going to be a completely different format on paper, those unused graphics must of been part of that.
I wasn’t able to find anything else on the GFX Ripper, but finding those sprites was truly amazing.
Makes you wonder if any other Dizzy games have unused content hiding somewhere.
