You may remember back in 2021 we saw the Extended Edition of Dizzy TUCA for the Spectrum.
But now, @dr-titus has released an Extended Edition for Treasure Island, now available on Yolkfolk. {yolkfolk}:zxlove:

-- Over 18 new rooms added.
-- Some Coins and Items have been relocated.
-- Over 7 new items added.
-- Some scrolls now give you new information.

Hi @grobsy , which emulator are you using?

Opening the file should start The game straight away.

Anybody know how to reach these "interesting things in the clouds" or where what I presume is still the video camera is? I can't find the last valueable item for the shopkeeper anymore.

Hi.

You can now jump to the sides of the roof of the store and reach the top of the totem pole to find an item you need to reach the new locations.

The video camera has been moved into one of the new rooms.

Hope this helps.

@khaosadz thank you, that is really useful, I was just walking around aimlessly and trying to jump on clouds on the original island

I recently finished playing this game and greatly enjoyed it. It's fun to replay an old favourite in a new way. When playing the original I always wanted to fill the bucket to extinguish the torch in the caves - this game finally allowed me to do it! :teethy:

English players might have been confused by Sayid, the man buried up to his neck in sand, this was a reference to the classic Soviet film "White Sun of the Desert" which cosmonauts watch for good luck before launch!

I'm looking forward to extended versions of the other original Dizzy games.

Did a speedrun of the Extended version. Really enjoyed the game and the designs of screens in the extended parts.

in both this and the Dizzy 1 Extended i liked the that the additional screens had a lot of verticality to them.

I managed to skip using the Bible in this speedrun thanks to a new clip out of bounds

Wow, this is incredible! I was a kid when the original ZX Spectrum Dizzy games came out and played them for hours. I tried to teach myself coding (as a ten year old!) with basically no resources available and gave up on assembler when my search for books, etc. came up empty. @dr-titus, how did you get the source code? I've searched and not been able to find it and I'm fascinated how the great Oliver Twins managed to fit so much into 40-ish k of memory!

@dizzyfan009 Thank you! )

I didn't have the source.
I disassembled all the games myself.
Then I figure out how the game works.
After that, I optimize the game, make it faster, and add something new.

@dr-titus Wow, that makes this achievement even more impressive. How long did it take you to go from essentially a hex dump to understanding how the game works?
