Thank you for the detailed bug report! I've started working on fixing them
Both are great news. I hope this helps spread awarness of the engine.
Today, I have two saves for you.
InThe Evil wizard Zakspickup the amulet and walk left right to see the issue(no animation)/
InDaisy Goes Solo 2018jump left\right to see that some jumping frames have flip problems.
I dont know if these happen on PC but even if they do, it can be fixed via your patch system, I hope?
Also, something that could get fixed with this patch system(but I fully expect it to be in game glitch) is that, when in bat form(in Evil wizard Zaks) rolling will never stop.
I have found and fixed the animation display bug. I will be releasing a game update very soon.
Hey Yozka, I'm Alex Simion, creator of DizzyAGE. It's really great that you managed to run it on mobile and offer the chance for players to play all the games on phones and tablets. I always wanted to create a "catalogue" of the DizzyAGE games, but never got to it. What you did looks really good, the fact that players can download what games they want and play them. Where are the games stored? Are they downloaded from Yolkfolk, or you had to put them on a personal server? Linking with Yolkfolk would be great for instant integration of new games.
Now that Wonder Egg is live on Google Play, and I think it's here to stay for many fans to enjoy, I do have 2 requests:
1. Please give me credit for the DizzyAGE engine and GS9 script that you use in Wonder Egg. Please add the following line in the copyright notes, next to the Dizzy's Original Concept and Trademarks notes. It should be present on the websites where Wonder Egg it is available (google play or appstore), inside the runtime of the app (in some credits section), and inside the source code txt file (if available to public):
"DizzyAGE and GS9 are created and copyrighted by Alexandru Simion"
2. Please don't list the DizzyAGE or GS9 source code publicly on GitHUB or other public websites. Currently you have DizzyAGE public at https://github.com/yozka/DizzyAge. In 2021 we talked about GS9 sources (which is included in DizzyAGE) and I said I want to keep them away from github and not allow people to download it from other sources or freely change them.
DizzyAGE source code was always ment to be open to developers to assure the long life of their games. That's why I have its source code on DizzyAGE website. It is not offered under an open source license, and the rights are reserved to me. DizzyAGE sources can't be used in other projects without my permission. As stated on the DizzyAGE website, "The C/C++ soruce code of the engine is available for developers to ensure your games longevity and future proting. © Alexandru Simion - 2010. All rights are reserved."
Both DizzyAGE and GS9 are copyrighted by me and, for the good of the Dizzy community, it is OK to use them in Wonder Egg and publish it, considering the above requests: proper crediting and NOT public sharing of the DizzyAGE or GS9 original or modified source code outside the DizzyAGE website.
So, please update the credit notes, and remove DizzyAGE and GS9 sources from public listing.
I also have a proposal. Wonder Egg is a really great thing for the DizzyAGE community and Dizzy fans in general, so I think you put the DizzyAGE sources to a good use. I propose you make Wonder Egg's source code available in the same way: for people who make DizzyAGE games to be able to port or recompile Wonder Egg sources in the future, if you can no longer maintain it or offer compatibility with future Android/iOS.
If Wonder Egg's source code is distributed as "latest stable source code" through the DizzyAGE website, or through a more "dedicated" page for your project (linked from DizzyAGE website), I'm OK to include with it your current update of the DizzyAGE and GS9 sources. Let me know what you think about sharing the sources.
Thank you, and keep the great work!
Alex
Another bug report.
I was really losing my mind trying to finish Dizzy vs The Snow Queen
In desperation, I tried looking up a video walkthrough of it and...it seems like a bug in the Egg Engine.
At one point of the game, a house collapses, changing its collision boxes. In the engine, however, they dont update and we are stuck with old boxes, meaning its impossible to climb the roof and progress past the house.
Heres how it should look like.
I attached save file right next to the house in question
Edit:
For some reason, the attachment wont get added to the post, have a link instead.

Hi Alex,
Thank you for the green light and for your support! It means a lot to me.
I have immediately addressed your requests:
-
GitHub: The repository is now Private. It is no longer accessible to the public.
-
Google Play: I have updated the store description to include the credit line: “DizzyAGE and GS9 are created and copyrighted by Alexandru Simion“.
-
In-App Credits: I am preparing an update for the app right now. The new version will include a dedicated "Credits" section with the required copyright notice.
Regarding the games: Currently, the app works by parsing metadata from Yolkfolk.com. To ensure stability for mobile users, I mirror the game archives on my own server. However, I have a strict "No Modification" policy. The files on my server are 100% original, untouched copies. I do not alter the authors' work. Instead, I have developed a runtime patch system. If a game has bugs, the engine applies fixes in memory during execution, leaving the original game files completely intact.
Regarding the Source Code: I totally agree with you about the importance of project longevity. However, I am not ready to open the Wonder Egg source code or distribute it at this moment, as the project is still in active development. I might consider opening the source code in the future. Also, if I ever decide to stop maintaining the project, I will definitely contact you to transfer the sources so the work is not lost.
Update: Credits Section I have added an "About / Credits" menu to the game. The app now correctly displays the copyright notices for the DizzyAGE engine creator (Alex Simion) and links to the Yolkfolk.com community. Respecting copyright is a priority for the project's development. Here is a screenshot of the updated interface:
