and now I'm stuck with a cat with a bad attitude
a little red key and a mouse, you find the red key in the treetop in the village, you will get the mouse, when you buy something
@sun2003 I got the other item and the free mouse after I posted that. But now I've run out of money and the cake wasn't enough for the genie, he now wants money too lol.
Time to start again.. :wall:
@boo yes I knew that too, and have to start over a few times too, use Granddad to things, after he got his free library card and free travel... :) but it takes time with him, since he dont walk that fast :)
also earn money with cutting the grass with lawnmover, and help the fruit lady with deliver fruits...
Right grandad you f***in monster I’m gonna play goblet of truth (again) for a bit of relief from team yolkfolk. I’ve done load, I’ve got loads of items but reading the whole help thread don’t think I’m even half way!!! I’ve done a fair few saves & sent grandad on a few reccie’s, so know what I’ve got to do in some places. Trynna finish at least one maze for some extra dosh before I do that greedy genie 🧞. Thinking this might be another one I might not be able to finish 😡, also I’ve wasted thousands of £££££ forgetting I can get home free 😭
@quiggie Thanks for the 'compliment' {characters}:zaks: . The genie was a last minute addition to give clues to every secret passage and hidden object, so that most players didn't have to try jumping into every wall and crevice {eggs3}:stun: , not forgetting that most mazes have the solution in the reference section of the library... and I was well pleased with the 'electoral register' rather than just randomly knocking on nearly 50 doors... and of course the spider maze was so much fun to make, knowing how most players would react {eggs2}:bashwall:
Using 'shared' inventories was so that I could avoid using a warehouse to store items and sending one character on reccies to pick stuff up and then switching characters was a good compromise... until you discovered that each character had quirks about entering various shops and picking up certain items {eggs3}:haha: .
You should be able to finish this one as I've not used any 'weird' observation puzzles and there are clues for most situations... honest!
Really fantastic game as always from Grandad. Thank goodness for his generosity and ingenuity. It's so good (and bad!) for our mental health. Can't, for the life of me, work out how to get the brown diamond. Something to do with the frying pan, cooking and the rocks, but after numerous combinations and using Dora in every food scenario, can't get any further.
@jay Thanks Jay, always appreciate people enjoying me messing with their heads
To the left of the entrance to Honalee is a window in a cloud that leads to a room with a set of scales. If you weigh one of the diamonds and the frying pan you will see that they both weigh 25 grams - once you've done that the brown diamond can be swapped with the frying pan.
Hey, how to get there?
Hi Grandad. I've come back! I decided to delete the previous game that kept freezing and load your latest version and so far so good. Anyway, you know what's coming don't you
I'm stuck. Items I have are library book, raw onion, polaroid camera, dagger, full charity tin, Harry Brown's ID card, screwdriver, squanky mushroom, chewing gum, chicken drumstick, corkscrew, frying pan, saucepan, tissues, tweezers, tera tray, tea cup and saucer, teapot, cheese sandwich, spray starch, salt shaker, cheese, spray cleaner, lipstick, mascara, little red key, feather duster, pencil, blue totem, orange totem, piece of coal, small stone, magic stone, rubber duck, hooter, scrubbing brush and plunger.
In the teleport section Is it a mirror on the wall? Don't know what to do with it anyway!! I can't find any of the vouchers for magic potions.
This really is a brilliant game and you are truly messing with my poor old brain. There's so much to do and so many items to remember but thank you anyway.
@sparkles-49 Thanks, I had great fun making this game {eggs2}:pcgame: . I assume that Grand Dizzy has found the special library room as you have the ID card. Did you check out the picture in the beach hut and then get Grand Dizzy to check the address - that's when it's safe to give the full charity tin to the owner, as you will automatically empty it first.
Then look at the maze maps, the one that Denzil uses the screwdriver for has an extra room shown. This is where one of the potion vouchers is, but you have to use someone who can jump over the gap to retrieve it.
The other potion voucher is in a secret passage at the top left of the spider maze.
Get Dizzy to use the ID card in the off licence and then buy a beard from the joke shop and get a free toy mouse - you already have a red key and it comes in very handy for Denzil to help a lady with a blocked toilet, once he has the plunger.
Also, Dora is Grand Dizzy's 'carer', so she can access all rooms in Grand Dizzy's hut.
Have fun
@grandad Thanks Grandad you've given me plenty to work on. I'll try not to ask for more but I can't promise. {eggs2}:daisy:
It's me again! I've fixed the toilet and been in Martin Penwald's grave but can't get on to the upper level through the green lines. In the teleporter section I've found two places that are 'too complicated' for any of the characters to solve and I can see the blue totem. I can't find a gap that needs jumping in this section and I have no idea what to use to get into Richard O'Brian's grave. Can you get into Sneezy's grave and Maria von Trapp's? Please could you point me in the right direction?
Sparkles - Use Dylan after he gets the potion from Glenda which lets him jump through green/yellow blocks, jump onto the 'truck' to reach the upper level - There is a police badge in a secret room in the 'pensioner's maze' which will stop the police cars from sending you back.
It's not a gap in Denzil's screwdriver maze, it's the floor you drop through if you don't jump over it to get to the secret room.
Richard O'Brian needs a white crystal, Sneezy needs a box of tissues, and Maria Von Trapp needs 'Raindrops on roses' ...now where was that damned rain cloud {eggs2}:dylan:
You need to be holding the 'magic glasses' to be able to see hidden objects and switches ...such as the one that lets you reach the blue crystal.
Don't you just love my puzzles {eggs2}:help:
I do love your puzzles Grandad even though they make me say naughty words! The good news is that i have found the pink voucher hidden in the teleport area. The bad news is that I haven't yet found Grandizzy's travel pass. I've tried to enter the pensioner area with Grandizzy but nothing happens so I'm guessing that he needs to have the pass on him to prove he's old. Similarly in the magic shop, Glenda won't give Grandizzy the potion because he's not wearing Indigo but is that also because he hasn't got his oap's pass?
In the teleport area I can see a coin and something that looks like a barcode. I've tried everything but just can't reach it. Is it the code for Grandizzy's box? Lastly where can I find the magic specs?
You're going to say lots of 'naughty words' Sparkles {eggs3}:bezerk:
Grand Dizzy cannot jump, so he can't reach the box to unlock it. However, as she's his carer, Dora can. She can also jump up onto his bathroom sink and turn the tap on... and once the generator has been fixed, you will get hot water from the tap - and what does hot water do to a bathroom mirror {eggs3}:handstand: .
The magic specs are in the top room of the magic shop - hmm, I wonder if there's an open window nearby {eggs3}:look:
Well!!!!!! You can feel exceptionally smug and pleased with yourself because my poor ancient brain has turned to mush. There are so many parts to this game. I've been back to a couple of previous saves but have confused myself even more. Could you PLEASE just tell me two things. 1. Where to find the pear and 2. How to get someone i.e Granddizzy to wear indigo. I tried to clean his shoes with the liquid cleaner and the scrubbing brush but that didn't work. I'm beginning to think that I might be over thinking some of this stuff {eggs3}:bezerk: {eggs3}:handstand: {eggs3}:spin: {eggs3}:stun:
Sparkles, your brain really has gone mushy - Dora's boots are indigo (dark purple - Daisy's boots are mauve - light purple) so she can use the voucher from Denzil's screwdriver maze to get the potion that lets her see in the dark.
In the jungle (the mighty jungle - if you remember the song), send someone up the first ladder and jump right at the top - there you'll find an armorog ...and we all know how to make armorogs lose interest in people. Just past the armorog is a pear tree. {eggs3}:handstand:
