I'm sorry to be a pain in the proverbial but I've got the potion and the sausage but I've absolutely no idea where the jungle is. I think I need another massive hint please. {yolkfolk}:redfaced:
Sparkles, it's the brown teleport, where you start by going past the 'bird in the sky' ...and hopefully picking up the stone.
Now I'm really confused. In my game it's the orange teleport that has that manic bird and the small stone is in the purple teleport area. I've tried to use the stone on the bird in the orange area but with no luck. Have I missed something? I haven't found a spider maze either. :wall:
My bad Sparkles - that'll teach me to try and remember without checking the map.
orange tp = beach area
brown tp = pensioner maze
indigo tp = jungle
blue tp = Denzil's screwdriver maze
green tp = graveyard
red tp = spider maze
mauve tp = observatory
+ with magic glasses
pink tp = mushroom area
grey tp = extra observatory
It feels like I'm going round in circles!! I can't hit that b****y bird with the small stone. I even tried jumping over the perishing thing. I can't get passed the flies (a pot of honey perhaps if only I could find a pot), and I'm astonished to learn that Daisy doesn't appear to be a natural blond but if she isn't who the hell is. Please could you give me one or two really simple and obvious hints. I'm loving this game and really, really want to complete it.
Stop and breathe Sparkles - birds on beaches etc that fly towards you are usually 'hints' that you can't get past them. The bird on the beach in the orange teleport area is just one of those 'hints' - although you do have enough time to get both the knife and the bag of money if you get each one separately and turn on the 'run' option once you pick them up, both times, to avoid being teleported home.
The stone is used to knock the pear off the tree once you get past the armorog by putting the sausage in it's bowl and waiting for it to stop moving.
Which flies are you talking about? The flies that are on the tree trunks leading to the bear's cave can be jumped over, although Grand Dizzy uses a different method to get past, once he has the potion from Glenda and the tea tray from Dora's house.
If you're referring to the angry bees, then a nice calming stick of incense will help {eggs2}:torch: .
Having checked the conversations between the yolkfolk and Glenda, Glenda will give the potion to Daisy as she is blonde. If Dora uses the voucher, she tells Glenda she could be blonde. That's when Glenda says 'natural blondes only'. And just to finish it off, if Grand Dizzy tries to use the voucher, he tells her he used to be blonde when he had hair.
I expect the next posting to say that you've reached the second part of the game and it's just as ...(insert your own choice of anglo-saxon adjective with asterisks between the initial and end letters) hard {yolkfolk} .
Thank you for your patience! I’ve only found one voucher so far. The one that helps you see in the dark. The flies I mean are in the indigo section where you get the small stone. I haven’t found the armarog and I’ve already done the bees but don’t have a pot for the honey. All this and trying not to run out of money {eggs3}:stun:
Those flies are just like the dizzy hawk in the original games, it's line of sight, so once their view is blocked by a cloud you can get past. Again only those who can run, can get the stone, but there is just enough time for Grand Dizzy to get past (if you're really having trouble, save the game where it's safe, take one step and if safe, save again. That way you'll find the optimum spot for Grand Dizzy to start walking fast).
where he uses the teleport to get past the ladder, send someone who can jump to climb the ladder and jump right at the top to enter the armorog area. Jump onto the block and wait till the armorog goes right, then drop down and use the sausage on the bowl and go left and wait at the block. The armorog will stop and examine it, leaving the person free to walk past, jump over the other block, and use the stone anywhere to throw it at the pear. Grand Dizzy also needs to chat to the bear to get the empty honey jar, which needs filling. (the hint is the notice board just before the bear's cave where GD will say he's not afraid of bears).
You have to complete Denzil's 'screwdriver' maze to stop the beam that prevents Daisy from using the spider maze then get to the top left hand corner and into the secret passage to find the voucher that kills spiders (for more cash). The map for this maze is in the library map book.
Have fun Sparkles {eggs3}
Thank you so much Grandad. I really do appreciate your help. Hopefully this’ll get me going again and I won’t have to pester you for a long time, or even at all but I think that’s wishful thinking {eggs2}:daisy:
Oh Gawd I'm back again {yolkfolk} I have managed to get on a little bit but I need help again. In the indigo section I don't know what to do to the hedgehog so Granddizzy can go to the bear. I've tried the scrubbing brush and the false beard (in desperation!). I've finally got into the section with the barcode. I've got the mascara but can't find anything that would draw the thicker lines. Please could you give me a hint?
you drop the tea tray on it, and unless you're really quick, wait for the hedgehog to wander off and return before stepping onto it - as long as Grand Dizzy has drunk the potion from Glenda, the boars won't touch him. Step off at the other side (remember that Grand Dizzy won't jump).
Did you pick up the piece of coal that was at the bottom of the secret passage behind the fireplace in the beach hut ...or haven't you noticed that one of the bricks on the r/h side is different to the rest :wall:
Oh b****y hell. It’s so obvious when you know. At least I was on the right track with the hedgehog and I’ve done so many saves that I completely forgot about the coal. Right I’m off to sort this out. Thank you so much for your help. Back soon {eggs2}:couch:
And Lo!!! here I am again. I've got on pretty well since my last post. I even managed to do the snakes but I'm really stuck on the section with the single bee. I can't follow it and there's no escape through the walls. I tried three types of incense and I bet it's a really simple answer and I'd be very grateful if you could let me know what it is {eggs2}:help:
Bloody web site - I typed a load of stuff regarding both single bees (one in the 'snake' area) and the one in the purple crystal area, if you'd got that far, only when I sent it, just got a message saying 'something wrong with your data' and and not only did it delete the message, it also logged me out of the site, so had to sign in again (imagine me turning the air blue around me with my language).
Anyway I assume the single bee is the one above the sign that tells you to save your game - if so, then there's a gap in the middle of the sign with a grey key. Drop down, grab the key, jump right to get out and right into the top of the r/h wall to find another secret passage.
Let's hope this message works
You have my full sympathy. That sort of thing has happened to me and you have to remember what you typed!! Anyway thank you very much for your response but it's neither of those bees. It's the one after the snakes and the screen with lots of bees and platforms. you work your way to the top of the platform screen avoiding the bees and then at the top go left into a screen with a single bee and several much needed coins. Anyway thanks for the other hint for when I get there!!
it's ok. Ignore my last post. I've done all the bees, snakes and blue beams. I've got the yellow totem and the white crystal so hopefully I'll be able to get on without pestering you much more {eggs3}:handstand:
I've tried so hard not to pester you again but I'm completely stumped by Martin Penwold's grave! I've got the rubber duck and the police badge but I can't do anything. I also desparatley need the coins! Have I missed something?
Hi again Sparkles - shouldn't be a problem if you have the police badge - as long as you're using Dylan and he's got the potion from Glenda's Aunt(?) by giving her the skanky mushroom (beside the hive past the angry bees) as the potion allows you to jump through 'green/yellow' blocks, but I think you have to jump onto the lorry to jump through the gap then just walk along collecting the cash and jumping over the g/y blocks and onto the next level and collect those coins. Then you get to the top level and pick up a totem.
Have a pleasant Sunday {eggs2}:telly: and hopefully won't get your next 'plea for help' on Monday {eggs2}:bashwall:
Hello.............Me AGAIN {yolkfolk} I've got on pretty well since last time and have 9 totems. However.. I can't find the green one and I suspect it's at the bottom of the maze. I've gone down one level avoiding the yellow and red ghosts but now I've got the blue and green ones. I've got the onion for the blue one. I've tried timing my jumps but the green ghost just comes round too fast. Is there an item that he doesn't like (I've tried everything in my inventory). I've also not found a bunch of roses yet but have found the rain cloud. I'm so near Honalee now. Please put me out of my misery!
I know it's a tight squeeze to avoid the green ghost, but don't forget that having the sneezing powder, raw onion and nag champa incense means you can ignore the other ghosts. also remember that the yellow ghost at the top follows the exact pattern of the green ghost so that should help in dropping down to the green ghost level.
You get a bunch of roses from the fairy when you give her a 'fairy cake' - her name is on a parchment in the secret room where you find the genie's lamp when carrying the secret glasses... and it's back to Grand Dizzy looking up her address
just in case, the secret room is found by jumping right at the top of the secret cavern behind the fireplace in the beach hut {eggs2}:pcgame:
