Anyone still unable to log in?

I know I keep mentioning this, and I'm aware that many people will have either re-registered or have long since moved on from this place.

But I still feel that there is a minority of people who still haven't been able to log in to their accounts since we changed forums nearly 2 years ago back in July 2021.

If this is you, try the following:-

[A] Reset your password - all the old passwords on all forum accounts were not saved in the forum switchover.

[B] You can contact an Admin to set up a temporary password so you can regain access to your forum account and to be able update your profile yourself, like your own password, E-mail address etc.
- Make sure you tell us your username.

You can contact us via Facebook, Twitter, or E-mail - [email redacted]

You can ask a trusted community member to contact us on your behalf if you wish.

We're here to help.

Many thanks.

I've now amended the above post and the news post on the main site after learning of another alternative to make it much easier for anybody still locked out of their accounts to be able to log in again.

  • You can contact an Admin to set up a temporary password so you can regain access to your forum account and to be able update your profile yourself, like your own password, E-mail address etc.
    - Make sure you tell us your username.

Deeply sorry I didn't learn of this sooner.

Well, I'm having some trouble. Partly because I'm struggling to remember which password I'm using. Part of the issue is if you get it wrong, it doesn't tell you you've got it wrong it just refreshes the page. So there's no way to gauge where the error is. I did have to change it originally though. Actually the need to change it was the somewhat concerning reason that brought me back after nearly a decade of lapse. I suddenly got an email telling me I'd asked for a password reset - I hadn't, I hadn't been here.

Ah, yeah that was me.

It was because we changed forum software nearly 2 years ago, where all forum accounts were saved but the passwords linked to the accounts weren't saved.

So automated E-mails about resetting passwords had started being sent to everyone.

But once your password has been reset, you should no longer be getting those E-mails.

But, Sorry if the E-mail caused a scare, that wasn't my intention. It was only meant to help a minority regain access to their forum accounts.

As for logging in, I agree it's a bit fiddily, I think the forum software we're using now is still fairly new.

Hello everyone You can log in and register. Not particularly difficult. I 'll write here - in "
Introductions" all topics are closed. I can't leave a message there. How can I introduce myself here if everything is closed? I write through yandex translator. I don't know English well. I apologize in advance for the translation.

@spiritcrusher666 Hi.

You can post a new thread in Introductions.

The reason all the old threads are locked there is because they are set to lock automatically when they've not been posted in for 2 weeks.

They have been moments in the past where people have bumped old threads involving a person who hasn't been seen here for years.
