Started by grobsy on 26 August 2023 • 7,175 views
Just started playing and im stuck already. Managed to get to another world and give shiny stone to one guy as well as dig into the mines. The box in there seems to be locked and i cant open it.
I dont know how to get throigh pinoccio, how to get a bucket, how to make use of frog and how to get vip pass.
I have: a frog, an aluminium powder, old tire, matches, helmet, pickaxe,a nail puller, cognac, string bag and stuff that we started with in dizzys house.
Any hint on how to progress wpuld be greatly appreciated.
... give shiny stone to one guy ...
Hi, Dizzy9Did the guy you gave the stone to give you anything in return?
... The box in there seems to be locked and i cant open it.
The box needs to be broken, to do this you need to use one item that is not yet among the items on your list.
...how to get a bucket, ...
talk to the packaging sellerHi, Lightning.
First of all: Congratulations for releasing a game, its great so far.
Now to answer your question: No, the guy who accepted the shining stone didnt give me anything. He told me he needs somethig else...and I forgot what word it was.
I talked to everyone in the market, no clue whats next.
Thank you for your feedback about my game, it will be even more interesting in the future.
That guy asked to bring him some kind of stone processing item and you haven’t found it yet.
Some riddles can be solved in different ways if you use the same objects in different places, and the path through the game will depend on this. You can try different options for passing, but the game has one ending and you will still achieve it, no matter which path you take.
The seller of the container asked too high a price for the bucket, but despite this, you need to find a way to get the bucket from him....I dont know how to get throigh pinoccio, how to make use of frog and how to get vip pass...
You can use three items on Pinocchio, but only one will work. You can offer a frog to a pet store seller, but he is not ready to buy every frog.
You will be able to go to the VIP room after several events have happened, but this will not be soon.
I have found additional items in the market: Basket of apples, Glue, Thread and Glue. Was unable to use any of them.
Since discovering them, Im afraid there may be more of these not-very-obvious platforms that I missed.
Also, a bug(?) report: I went back to place where you dug a hole with the shovel....and Im unable to climb back up. One of the small rocks (the bottom one of the three) lost its Block properties and cannot be stood on.
I play using Egg engine, so Im not sure if its fault of the game or emulation of egg engine.
I tested the game several times in this particular room and such a bug did not appear. {yolkfolk}
Try to stand under the pebble itself and jump vertically upward.
Some items are applied only after some events, for example, if Dizzy has already talked to the desired character, and before the conversation the item is not applied, because Dizzy may not know what goods he will need to get the opener for Daisy. Two of the items you just found can be used.
It was confirmed to be a bug with egg engine implementation.

I managed to use basket of apples and got Drying oil, which I have no clue where to use.

Did you find an item to process the shining stone and another item to open the box in the mine?
No, I dont think I did. Especially so since I dont know which item is used for that.
To be perfectly honest, I feel like Im getting too old for playing Dizzy games :(
Now you will not be able to use drying oil, because Dizzy does not yet know what he will need it for. I wrote to you about this property of the game algorithm in previous posts.
First you need to find an item for the guy you gave the shining stone to.
You have already visited the room where this item lies twice, but have not yet found it. You may need to use one of the items you have there to do this.
The item with which you can open the box in the cave is hidden behind another object and you also visited that room.To be perfectly honest, I feel like Im getting too old for playing Dizzy games :(
Don't be discouraged, complex riddles bring more joy when you solve them and you have progressed quite well in the game. {yolkfolk}:clap:In addition, in the classic Dizzy games, the riddles are much more complex, in my opinion, and I did not set myself the goal of making a difficult game, I tried to make the game interesting. And the most interesting thing in the game is yet to come. {yolkfolk}:dizzy:
Dizzy9 - you're never too old to play Dizzy games! I'm 77 this year and I still have fun making and playing Dizzy fan games. I also agree with Lightning in that in some cases it's best to discover what certain items are for, rather than just blindly using that item on the off-chance it might work (as long as clues are given for that specific item).

@dizzy9 - You're NEVER too old to play Dizzy games.
The difficulty in some fan games may be challenging, but there's no need to believe you're too old for them.
I'm only 2 and a half years away from turning 40 and I still play them occasionally - Age is just a number to me.
Since we’ve touched on this topic, I’ll say a few words about myself. I'm 50 years old and the first time I played a game about Dizzy was back in the early 90s, when I soldered myself a Spectrum clone. It was some kind of arcade game and I don’t remember what it was called, where you had to jump on air bubbles, thus rising from the bottom of the reservoir to the surface. I really liked this character, and when I already got the game Dizzy3, I was very delighted with it.
I haven’t had a Spectrum for a long time, but I completed all the original and several fan games about Dizzy using an emulator for Speccy.
Thanks to the authors of this wonderful site for the collection of Dizzy games and all the necessary software for creating fan games.
I made my first fan game about Dizzy on the DizzyAGE engine three years ago, thanks to its authors for this opportunity, I really enjoyed working with this engine, I began to study programming and learned how to create games about the adventures of my favorite character according to my own scenario. And I completely agree with Grandad and Adam Markey that age doesn't matter when playing Dizzy games.
Dizzy forever! {yolkfolk}:yahoo: {eggs2}:play: {eggs3}:skip: {eggs3}:spin: {eggs3} {eggs2}:pcgame:
