Fantastic Dizzy (Mega Drive / Genesis) - "New Release" sticker

I've noticed that the Mega Drive version of Fantastic Dizzy has a "New Release" sticker on it (also seen on other Codemasters games for other systems), whereas the Genesis one doesn't have such sticker. Is there any significance to this? Are there any actual differences between these releases? On the Internet you can find only one ROM of this game (apart from the prototype), labeled as both USA and Europe.

I always thought the 'New Release' sticker was just Codemasters way of saying, "Hey look! We have a new game out!".

And the sticker probably wasn't thought about for the US release.

There is another version of Fantastic Dizzy on the Mega Drive where some of the music's instruments were changed, as the music on the original release was ear-piercingly loud on some parts, especially in the mine section.
But I believe that version only came out alongside Cosmic Spacehead on the "2 Games in 1" cartridge.
