Dizzy Saves The Day [HELP THREAD]

Congratulations Grandad on your 60th game and an early birthday present (Friday)for me.  Another brilliant game but you know where this is going don't you?  Yes I'm stuck.  I didn't want to be the one to start the help thread but I'm completely out of ideas.

Items I have are :-  Rope, crowbar, stool, mayonnaise, empty mug, sharp knife, apple, spanner, old school tie, pygmy cow, magic staff and home potion.

I also have 3 pieces of experience and 11 bits of loot.  I've placed one item in a chest and I think the item for the other chest is the mushroom but I can't get Dizzy to read the book so I'd be ever so grateful if you, or any other kind soul who's clever enough to have cracked it, to give me a hint please'

I started the game for the second time. I don't remember where my glasses are.

@sparkles-49 Ignore the mushroom for the moment. It doesn't go in a chest and it's Daisy who can get the mushroom. (Daisy is activated when you get to the room with the rubix cubes.) There are a number of chests but looking at your items I think it's the duo which requires (clue 1: something you burn in a fire) and (clue 2: something to clean yourself). 

Thanks Eggy.  I’ve found the rubrics cubes but not found Daisy.  I forgot to try options.  I’m out today but will have a look this evening. :tup:  

@piotrek You are well ahead of me I'm afraid. I'm still trying to solve the red (Oscar) area accessed by Dizzy and locate the magic glasses! 

There are 3 chests in Dora's house. Stand on the chest and press enter. You will find magic glasses.

Thanks Piotrek. It's to do with the potion in the room. I hadn't drank it. D'oh.  

@piotrek Have you found Glenda? She is in the area where you use the magic stone. Where did you find the banana? 

You need to add some items to the chests in Daisy's house (in order to get the purple oscar and key for Daisy's section in Theo's house). You'll be able to unlock Dora when you reach a certain location in Daisy's teleportation area.

Thanks Eggy.  What a rookie error not to check the windows!  Have moved on quite a bit but I'm stuck now on the red oscar section.  I managed to climb the steel blocks but got thrown off at the top.  I now seem to be on the wrong side of the buttons.  I'd be very grateful for another nudge in the right direction. 

@sparkles-49 - You must have magic glasses. If you don't have magic glasses, save your game.

Thanks Piotrek but you didn't post anything.  Should I be searching Dora's blue oscar area?

Drink the poison/potion in the room you access via Dora's window. It takes you through to another room which has three more chests. You need to press bricks in order to release the magic glasses.
