Dizzy - Panic in Pompey v1.80 [DOWNLOADABLE]

I have to admit it - I'm totally stuck!
I have 59 coins, scuba gear, a map of tranmere, plus a rusty door handle lever (which I assume is a red herring as I used the proper one to open the door) and the pp pill (which I've used in two areas). I think I've found all the coins that are in view and the only other puzzle I don't think I've solved is the Bard looking for some mushrooms - which I can't find anywhere (having checked all the bottles I could reach and the ones on the ground).
I still have the original version, as I've had no problems with the music... unless there are more changes other than the music.
Grateful for a little hint.
@grandad you are very very close 🙂 the bard's needed item is in very close proximity inside Wymering Manor.
I hope this helps
Aaaarrrgggggghhhhhh!!! I found the mushrooms (neat trick), and got my 60 coins - paid Zaks and he lifted the gate allowing me to get as far as Shamus, who tells me I haven't got a ticket. Went back to Zaks, but no responses from him! What am I missing? (apart from a ticket).
Phew! finished! Brilliant game Robin! Being old and having no responsibilities was able to spend most of the day(s) on this game.
On the negative side, there was no response from Zaks once you paid for the ticket and he opened the gate - so no clue to go to the car park (mind you, I had used the t/p back to the car park and before you mentioned it - I missed seeing the ticket above the exit teleporter)... so my bad!
Hmm, don't know why that part got uploaded as I hadn't finished my comments - on the plus side I thought it was really a good idea to mention what was needed by each person when you tried giving them any item. I usually put it as an opening remark to let the player know what's required, as I think it's unfair to just say it once. But, I much prefer your method, so will probably use it in future where the player needs to figure out which inventory item is required.
I also found your use of just using white messages unusual - forget the blurb about 8 pixels, it means nothing as long as you adjust the length of each line with '\n' during the text. Personally, I've amended the message file to include most main colours by using up to 6 or 7 messages and generally use message0 with a 5,5, axis for 'machines' etc that talk, and message1 for the main character with the axis of 4,3, and have other characters using message2 - 6 usually with a 6,2, axis... which hopefully negates the need for highlighting which character is talking. But as I always say, what creators wish to use is their perogative, I'm just happy to provide alternative thinking.
If you open any of my utility files you'll see that I have added a lot of extra stuff to avoid lots of extra coding - such as stuff for turning blocks off and on, pictures off and on (saves having to use dynamic files which take a lot of typing.
Finally, if you would like any help when figuring stuff out, feel free to email me anytime and I'll try to help as I've never studied programming either... I leave the clever stuff to Simon (Noggin).
Looking forward to your next effort {eggs2}:pcgame: .

Excited and full of cheer, Dizzy and the Yolkfolk set off on their very first holiday of the year!
A grand adventure to the Isle of Wight!
They travel so hastily to Pompey that they arrive a whole hour before the ferry is set to leave for the Isle at sunrise.
Checking for his ticket, Dizzy realises it’s missing!
He was sure he had it tucked away in his boxing glove before they left home.
Before Dizzy can explain, the Yolkfolk had already ventured off sightseeing and meeting up with old friends.
“I’ll have to gather up the Yolkfolk and explain what has happened.
Then purchase a new ferry ticket before it sets sail!
Its not long until sunrise!
I better tighten up my gloves and get going…”.
It looks like a new adventure has already begun…

Your welcome, looks inviting to play, I would of been doing so a number of years back but with my change of circumstances and time restrictions nowadays i'm somewhat in a different phase now {yolkfolk}:delight:
