Piotrek, you have to turn the heads in the same sequence as the book so you start with yellow , then red, blue, indigo, orange, green and then violet which you turn until the message appears.
Are you possibly getting indigo and violet the wrong way round?

I have a safe-opening book. I don't know how to open the safe on the table. A book doesn't open a safe.
I'm stuck now. Items I have are:- uncorked merlot, spade, alchemy book, dark green gem, eight coloured gems which disappear when I put them in the hole .I know I have to get rid of the flies but what with. Once I've done that I think I could do the gravestones. I can't think of anything I could do with the items I have. Please could someone give me a hint.
I'm in similar place to you Sparkles but I haven't found the Merlot yet. I need to get access to a yellow door and another yellow door near the green vine, and I haven't solved the grey stones puzzle with the black symbols on or got through the flies in the cage.

Madjack, you need to solve the gems first, then you can use the alchemy book and solve the flies and the gravestones. That’s as far as I’ve got, trying to solve the symbols.

I found a safe. The safe-opening book doesn't open safe.
Not got there yet. I'm now wondering what to do with the safe cracking book and am completely confused by the diamond diagram. any hints or nudges would be very welcome.
