Hi,
I recently bought a copy of the NES PAL Fantastic Dizzy (used), when I messaged the guy, before buying, he lied to me and said the game's map poster was included just to make the sale, so now i'm left with having to try and hunt down the game's map poster to try and make it a complete set.
My question is, Is there somewhere I can buy the map poster on its own for the PAL NES Fantastic Dizzy game..?
I'd prefer the original blue map one and not the Camerica version map, in good condition. I was hoping there was a store on 'Yolkfolk' that sells the game maps/posters (reprints) but it seems like it don't have such a service unfortunately. I don't mind the map poster being a reprint and not an original, if that's legal.
Is there anywhere anyone knows of where I can get one of these maps for the PAL NES game version please? Original or reprint.
@sylardean Hi.
Unfortunately these copies of the NES games, including the posters are extremely difficult to find, even for us.
The only versions we have are the scans kept on our Posters page that have fold marks on them.
Sorry we can't be of any more help.
[/quote]No prob, thanks for the reply.
I was wondering, has anyone tried to clean that poster up..? Like, remove the creases or whatever to make a cleaner version..?
Is that even allowed IF it's shared back here, on this site ?
Yup, it is allowed, it's just looking for anyone who will do that for us that's the only issue.
So, work on the official NES Fantastic Dizzy map, is ongoing, in the mean time.. I thought i'd mess about with AI and see if it could remake the dizzy map without labels. Here's the results but there were glaring issues with the outcome so I labelled the map, corrected some mistakes the AI just couldnt sort out, fixed some other errors on the picture too. I think they came out pretty good so sharing them here also. Maybe they will be of interest to people.
The labelled version
Progress on the official map at the moment is.. all crease/fold marks have been removed and map restored and upscaled, it's been resized for better quality. The issue I have now though is the restoration and upscaling has made the text around the map areas unreadable, so figuring out how to go about retexting the poster so it still looks original. I'm thinking Photoshop is going to be an option here for that.
AND.. just noticed another thing.. no stem on the flower that dylan is sniffing
Looking good.
Here we go, a new non-creased NES PAL Fantastic Dizzy map poster, upscaled for Printing if Yolkfolk Team want's to sell prints of it in the Keldor Shop (IF they are allowed), fixed some very minor issues such as ink spots, also removed the hair strands that were present from whoever scanned the original picture. The final poster size is 4712x3486.
Enjoy everyone!! {eggs2}:pcgame:
Wow this looks really good, thank you! 😀
@sylardean I've added it to the Posters page.
I'll have this shared on Yolkfolk's social pages later.
Oh and while I'm here, the Compliments Slip you shared is now on our Museum page and already shared on our social pages.
A big thank you for these. {yolkfolk}:delight:
