Anyone bought or had dealings with The Retro Room?

Has anyone had dealings with a model, crafts and Arts store on Facebook called – The Retro Room..?
He claims to make and sell a lot of custom stuff, including Dizzy stuff. I ordered a few Dizzy models from him MONTHS ago and i’ve had nothing but being palmed off by him with excuse after excuse.
I’m now considering taking action to the UK Fraud Squad as it’s got to that point but i’m wondering if anyone else has had dealings with this guy and has bought from him? got refuded? actually got the items? or whatever. Here’s a link to his Facebook store..

I absolutely wouldnt recommend anyone buying from this dude at all, no matter how cool his models and the custom Dizzy stuff may look, his service is real bad IF he is in fact NOT a scammer. It’s absolutely safe to say the £125 i payed him has probably been lost for good, we’ll see. I’ve been in contact with him since 9th February over my order and it’s still continuing with nothing delivered, and no refund given.
Just be aware of this guy selling Dizzy models.

UPDATE!
So here’s the update on this case. Barclays made a claim against the guy, his bank was only able to send £12.40 odd from his bank. Barclays made up the rest to £25 and the other £100 excess fees for the fraud claim I couldnt claim back or get waivered, even though im registered disabled, because all they got back from the guy was that £12 odd.
At least now the guy is being investigated by a fraud and scam squad. I’ve also reported his store and the person to Facebook, though I have no confidence in FB actually removing his store and his account.
NOT really the outcome I was hoping for in terms of the money being returned BUT at least I can now make people aware on here of this scammer of Dizzy merchandise he falsely claims to custom make and make people aware that this idiot is 100% a scammer.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS PERSON AND HIS STORE !!
I know of this page but never personally interacted with the owner.
I remember reading a private discussion on Facebook a while back about that page ripping someone else off.
Unbelievable that someone would be sad enough to do something like that.

Yup, shame people feel the need they need to rip other people off. Either way, i’m just glad I can warn people/others of this store and guy. I’m glad I didn’t order the entire stock of models, I nearly did as I had the available funds at that time but decided just to order a couple instead at the last minute, for the first order.
Shame its all a scam. These figurines look sooo good. Do you think the images were generated with AI?

I dont think they are AI pictures, I mean.. I can’t spot anything AI about them. I do think however that the guy, (Matthew Jenkins), made them for the purpose of scamming people on the pretense that he’s making them on a regular basis and to make people think he has them in stock.

Don’t you mean Matthew Else?

Matthew Jenkins ..is the name that was given to me on his bank account details, that’s where the money went but as he’s a scammer he probably has numerous aliases and have set up many fake bank accounts to transfer money here and there.

Ah, the plot thickens.
It’s just that he had been posting on Yolkfolk’s Facebook page as Matthew Else.
Again, I’ve never had contact with him so I never knew he was using a different surname on his personal details.

While I know nothing about this guy, is it wise to go throwing accusations about RL names/businesses online?
No offence implied to anyone nor intended, but if this guy sees these online???

I’ve no idea, but maybe a different guy..? Not sure.
All I can do is provide the name I had the displeasure of dealing with so others can be aware to keep an eye out for that name and NOT get scammed by this person.

Well, it’s NOT against the law to throw out a name when I 100% have proof he’s a scammer and have been scammed by him. I feel it’s my duty to protect the people on this forum from this scammer and attempting to buy his products.
I actually wasnt gonna post his name but I thought i’d let people know the person who I dealt with. It’s NOT an accusation, it was a real scam and 100% true. I have the entire facebook convo between me and this scammer saved in a file ready for when fraud squad wants it, I could post it all here but I feel that would go a little too far.
SO he’s posting stuff on Yokfolk’s Facebook page as someone else too..? IF it IS the same guy then that’s a red flag too. I could post the entire convo on here and 100% would if I thought it would help the Yolkfolk community further but have held off on doing that ‘cos I believe the fraud squad will catch up with this guy (sooner or later) and will want this evidence.
That said, i won’t bother replying on this post now, the whole situation is done, and i’m done with it. I’ve brought to light a scammer flaoting about Yolkfolk, pretending to sell stuff, and this post will serve as a warning for those who will want to deal with him and his store.
