Greetings, fellow adventurers.
Firstly, Happy 39th Anniversary to the Prince of the Yolkfolk himself!
Because of other things going on outside this site, its only taken until now to do another update post.
So here’s what we have to share this time.
— THE FUTURE OF OUR SITES
This was supposed to be announced back in December.
As of October 2025, both this site and our sister site The Codemasters Archive is now officially licensed by Electronic Arts (EA) – the owners of Codemasters.
Throughout September and October, we’d been in talks with EA regarding the content on both our sites.
Fortunately, they have given us their blessing for both sites to still exist, just as long as we made some small changes and follow the agreement and guidelines to make sure our future remains secure.
Hence the recent changes made to the footer on both sites.
— OFFICIAL GAMES
The biggest change is that all the Official Games are no longer available to download because of our new license.
However, the following games listed below can still be downloaded as they were never officially released by Codemasters.
- Wonderland Dizzy (NES)
- Dreamworld Pogie (NES)
- Mystery World Dizzy (NES)
- Panic! Dizzy (NES)
- Wonderful Dizzy (Spectrum)
- Dizzy The Adventurer (PC)
— FAN GAMES
The Flash fan games have been added back into our database after discovering that they can be played with a Flash emulator called Ruffle.
I know I’m extremely late in finding this out, and I apologise for that.
The following fan games have been updated.
- Lost Woods Dizzy (DizzyAGE Remake) (v2.0) – Updated to DizzyAGE v2.4.
- Dizzy’s Oddest Adventure (v1.4) – Bug fixes.
These following fan games have been given menu bug-fix updates by RJ Tychy, no changes have been made to the games themselves.
— GAME RESOURCES
New section added – Custom DizzyAGE tiles.
The section features custom image tiles that can be used on DizzyAGE, all in .tga format.
We will of course do anything to encourage more people to make Dizzy fan games.
New graphics and sprite sheets added.
- Spellbound Dizzy graphics (Amiga)
- Unofficial Seymour sprites and graphics by EnthusiastGuy
— GAME MUSIC
Added Martin Iveson’s unused Magicland Dizzy tracks, all on one MP3 file.
— FAN MUSIC
Added new remixes from The Music Wizard, Benas, DJ KameYa and Keith Hards.
— THE CODEMASTERS PLAY CENTRE
While official downloads are now out of the question, we are however allowed to make the games available to play online free of charge.
This gave us the perfect opportunity to overhaul our Play Online sections and launch a new Codemasters Play Centre using RetroArch.
The Play Centre has recently been given a major overhaul and new/updated entries for the Amiga, C64 and Sega Mega Drive.
We are aware that there are still no entries for Amstrad and Atari ST.
Complications setting them up are the main reasons why they’ve not yet been added.
Any further updates that are made to the Play Centre will be announced on both the forum thread and our social media pages.
As for the online fan games that were on this site, we hope to bring them back some day, but we’re yet to decide how to sort it out.
— WONDER EGG UPDATE
Yozka has given us an update on his “Wonder Egg” project, the app that allows DizzyAGE games to be played on Mobile.
The engine is now available to Apple iOS users. (link below)
Also for Android users, version 25 has been released with major bug fixes, improvents to performance and sound, and switching to SDL3.
The classic game “Dizzy and the Other Side” by Alex Simion is also built into this new version.
Lastly, for anyone having difficulties getting the list of DizzyAGE games to appear on your app, it is recommended that you close the app, then turn off Wi‑Fi, enable GSM, then launch the app.
It’s possible that your Wi‑Fi network is blocking access to the database server.
- ANDROID DOWNLOAD (Google Play)
- iOS DOWNLOAD (Apple App Store)
- Community forum thread
That’s about it for now, have a good summer!
